IMHO the Saints have drafted enough #1 RB HT winners. Pick a solid back with big legs and forget about the HT.

Saints won't draft a RB in the first 4 rounds.

So did Tracey Porter that doesn't have make Illinois and Indiana big football schools

The reason Pierre didn't go undrafted had nothing to do with Illinois. Mendenhall proves that.

Who was that dude in '09 that was absolutely relentless about Knowshon Moreno being the second coming and that it would be the worst gaffe in Saints history if we didn't pick him?

how many years have we drafted a d lineman in the 1st round.......i feel like we are the lions picking receivers every year.

we need a young playmaker at the linebacker position, speed in the secondary, and yes, a rb. we won a championship with an effective running to aid our vertical threat. this year we had a glimpse of a running game, but not a consistent one and as a consequence, struggled to stretch the field and forced brees to do too much in tough situations.

Picking an RB in the first round would be dumb. RB's get hurt too often to be investing a ton of money in.

The top 2 rookie rb's for this season were undrafted...Ivory being one of them.

RB's either stay injured or high on pot and don't warrant the big bucks.

Okay, bad wording. My idea behind it was more like, lesser-known or not top-flight schools such as USC, LSU, Bama, Texas, etc.

I hear he's gonna run low 4.4, high 4.3 at combine, if this happens hes going top 12.

He's staying and working out in New Orleans at that speed place Meachem and Tracy Porter worked out at just for that reason.

It'll be interesting to see.

Id be absolutely shocked if he ran in the high 4.3s, or low 4.4s

He'd have to run in the high 4.5s to fall to the Saints though

Ive been all for drafting Ingram because the odds are so small that we'd actually find a dominant pass rushing DE at 24.

Id be more willing to give Ivory the benefit of the doubt if he hadnt been injured his entire life. The guy literally couldnt make it through a quarter without getting hurt. We know Reggie's gonna miss 4-5 games minimum, if he's back. PT is also a question mark.

So we can keep going through this every year - massive RB questions, hoping lesser guys pan out- or use an early pick on a big time guy(who actually has an NFL body).
