Any chance the Saints try to grab Jimmy Garoppolo after 2021?

He will have on year left on his contract after the 2021 season. With the addition of Trey Lance, you would think he is their future if he sees spot duty and plays well this year.
Sean likes QBs who remind him of himself (talked about Ian Book alot before the draft) and Jimmy G played at Sean's alma mater: Eastern Illinois. He's 29 now and has a decade left to play if he can stay healthy.
If he stays healthy, he's a very good QB. You take him out of Shanahan's run oriented offense, and he would blow past the 3,973 yard, 27 TD season he had in 2019 with Payton. For comparison, Drew's last year in San Diego saw him throw for 3,576 yards and 24 YDs.

if we're putting our hopes in jimmy G next year we have truly hit rock bottom.

next year's draft qb class appears to be very dim at the moment.

I think there are a few moving parts that have to be worked out, but I would imagine it is on their radar (as well as a lot of other teams).
How does Winston perform this year
Where does the team fall in the draft & how do the prospects look
What other QBs will be available
Any truth to the fact that Sea may trade Wilson (Sea saves $11M on the cap if they trade before '22 season)

Look at this list of projected starters for each NFL team in 2021:
LINK
Denver; Lock
Washington: Fitzpatrick
Minnesota: Cousins
Las Vegas: Carr
Tennessee: Tannehill
I added Tennessee because Tannehill is serviceable but I doubt they are in the running without an injury to him.
Other rumblings that Carr isn’t Gruden’s guy.
The other 3 are potential landing spots for him, but Washington has been a shite-show under Snyder.
I’d say us, Denver and Minnesota are the 3 top landing spots for him.

Good job on compiling that list. I would add Pitt to the list of possible landing spots. Ben will be 40ish and has hinted at retirement before and he will be a FA after this season. Doubt they will want to run with Rudolph or Haskins as their long-term successor.
Edit: Looking at your list, 9 of 32 teams have a starting QB not drafted in the 1st. Of those 9, 5 (including Trask replacing Brady) are in the 2nd. Looks like the evaluation process for QBs is getting a lot better. With that said, still have a lot of 1st round busts at the QB position.

Yeah, that's another due to his age and they have a solid team around him.
If you ranked skill players on offense at each destination, the Saints, Steelers and Vikings would be T3; with the Raiders #4.

Why?
We already have two franchise QBs in the building.
If Winston doesn’t work out this season....
Taysom will certainly be ready next season after another year of grooming under Sean Payton.

I think he would be great

Of all the things I don't want the Saints to do for the next ten years, I don't want them to chase a revolving door of average veteran QBs in hopes of landing a game manager just good enough to sneak us into the playoffs. That's a recipe for heartache.

No. He'll never be a franchise QB. Think about it. Why would you put your back up in at multiple positions with a chance for injuries if this is the future of your franchise?
Why would you spend a 4th Rd pick on a QB?

after watching Ian Books highlights, and his every play against Clemson, I think our future QB might already be on the team. If he was 6'3" he would have been a first round pick for some team. Book just might be the most talented QB on this Saints team (definitely better, at QB, than Taysom Hill) right now and it wouldn't surprise me if he is the starter by the end of this season. Have to admit I thought he was a wasted pick until I actually took a look at him this morning.

I was being sarcastic.
You are correct.
It was bullshite all along.
You don’t put your future franchise QB in so many injury prone plays.
