Not a chance at this point. He may be a little rusty still, but I'm not encouraged by what I saw.

RB is probably the hardest position to be named to HOF.
There is only 1 person who played in the NFL in this millennia that has made the HOF at RB. LT
Everyone else started in the 90's and bled into the 2000's.
Adrian Peterson will be the next one.

Kamara has no shot at the HoF.

AP is a no brainer. Derrick Henry is a lock.
I do wonder if Marshawn Lynch will get in. 10k yards, a SB, all-pro, multiple pro bowls.
To me, Marshawn is right at that cutoff line. Great but not all-time great. Good stats but not amazing stats.
Frank Gore should not be in the Hall of Fame though. I know he had 16k yards, but my goodness I never considered him a top 5 RB any year he played but he somehow made an all-decade team. Plus Shaun Alexander is not in despite having more TDs in 5 years than Gore had in his career and Shaun actually has an MVP.
Hall of Fame should be more than longevity and stat accumulation.

You’re trying to tell me he can’t gain 2500 more yards in his career. 10k rushing and 7k receiving is a lock for Hall of Fame

Let me ask you this...how many times has he eclipsed 1,000 rushing yards in a season? How many times has he rushed for double digit rushing TDs in a season? How many Super Bowl rings does he have? How many MVPs? What is the significant accomplishment that's going to put him in the HoF?

That’s a fair point but numbers alone if he can’t gain get to 10k would be enough. Even more impressive with his shitty teams and qb play

Based off of history in the last 26 years, only the elite of the elite get in at RB.
Short life span of RB's probably makes it difficult to properly decide.

For every position except rb, its judged by if youre the best or 2nd best at your position for at least 3-4 years.
Theres exceptions to this obviously.
But in the 2000's this is the common theme.
Rb's not so much.

TBH, I was hoping for him to be traded during the Michael Thomas foot injury era because we were in desperate need of a rebuild and I felt we could get a 1st round pick. No way we could get a 1st round pick now and I think that says everything.
I love his commitment to the team and city, but that doesn’t translate to production… and hasn’t for quite some time. He was never going to be a featured RB.
I just don’t see any of the accolades one would associate with a HOF RB.

This seems to be a carry-over from the Sean Payton days; we did it with Reggie Bush and we're doing it with Alvin Kamara.
Bush was supposed to be great, 2nd pick in the draft. Hell, I had a subscription to Sport or some magazine, they dedicated a 2 page centerfold layout just to Bush's stats each week.
I remember seeing shite like vs Tampa Bay, he ran for 20 yds, had 20 yds receiving, no scores, one kick return to the 26, something like that. That's not game-changing, that's not worthy of commanding 2 pages in a sports magazine, getting all the media attention etc. It was just hype, and they had to try to justify the hype. Truth was, Deuce was the more important back, and then Pierre Thomas was.
Same thing going on with Kamara. Sure he would get some yards rushing, some receiving, maybe a kick return once or twice a season. But never a single 1000 yd rushing season, which remains the true mark of success for a starting RB. But Payton said "I can make him an All Pro" and we all jumped on that.
