Did you not watch last year? It doesn't matter what personnel you have. Look at your coaching staff. It still starts with them and you have to go through that in order to win. Don't be surprised if they find some way not to win a horrible division too.

I think the Roby and Lutz cuts were to save some salary cap so they can pick up a veteran who was recently cut.

Saints fans in the off-season: We’re in salary cap hell and can’t sign anyone. When will we just take our medicine?!
Saints fans after roster moves are made to save money: The team is run by dumbasses who don’t want to win because some guy I saw play well in three preseason games or some veteran with a big salary got cut.

We have the easiest schedule in the NFL. If we don't win, it'd mean we're pretty awful overall.

You're right they should've did this and tanked instead of kicking it down the road. They're not winning with this coaching staff or personnel.
Dennis Allen never should've been the Saints HC. That was a horrible move day 1 and you saw how over his head he was last year.
Carr is not a good QB and they don't have the staff around him to get the most from his ability. Going to be a deep arse hole by the end of this season once they realize all their mistakes. Only the problem is now they set the organization back even more years by putting faith in this coaching staff.

Short of Aaron Rodgers, Derek Carr was the absolute best the Saints could have hoped to sign this off season. The fact that he was available to them was nothing short of a miracle. Dude elevates the offensive unit way beyond what it was last season. I get it…you don’t like Dennis Allen. The guy has a lot to prove. But, to say what you said about Carr is just plain ignorant.

No coach fighting for their job is going to tank. Thats just dumb.
Do you think players will tank either? Most of them can be cut at any given moment and thats not gona happen either.

Its always easy to say what they did wrong. But what would you have done differently? What QB would you be able to realistically obtain. People like you are quick to critique but have no viable alternative solution

What I said is ignorant about Carr? Okay. Explain to me why he's a good QB? He had a good season years ago. He's on a steady decline. He's getting older. The only time he ever showed he was good is when he had the perfect fit for him. He's now years older, past his athletic prime, and has a moron OC/HC. Is anyone in here going to give a vote of confidence Dennis Allen of all people and Carmichael can get the most out of an aging QB who best years is behind him? Carmichael should not be in his position. He's a clipboard holder who needs his daddy Payton to be relevant which is probably where he needs to be. He didn't want the position for a reason.
Tell me again why I should be optimistic about that move? I don't care if he was the best option. it doesn't make him the right fit or the best move for the organization.
