Payton & Brees were the only reason he wasn’t exposed earlier. He’s run two franchises into the ground. He is objectively bad.
There is logic for you. Loomis ran the team into the ground, except for the coach he hired and the QB he signed.

You like polished turds. Got it. It’s 54 years old.
Meanwhile the blue blood nfl teams have built or are building new stadiums.

Gayle Benson or Woody Johnson? Gayle Benson or Mark Davis? Gayle Benson or the McCaskeys? Gayle Benson or Shad Khan? Of the current openings, the only successful owner is Kraft in NE. The other 4 are complete jokes. No one who has followed the NFL for any length of time would trade Benson for any of those other 4 owners.
At least the McCaskeys, Khan, and Woody showed some acumen to create billionaire wealth and business success.
Our owner tickled the testicles of an old man to gain her franchise and wealth.

I’m not trying to pump sunshine, but we may not be the worst situation for a coach. It’s really hard to say with any certainty which is best/worst. We tend to think that because of the cap, no quality coach would want to come here. The other way of looking at it, from a coach’s perspective, is the GM was at least trying to give the coach the tools to win now.
The video/link above talks about how Trent Balke in JAX is scaring away coaches. Seems he will throw the coach under the bus. Loomis seems to be the opposite- obviously to a fault.
I’m not suggesting the Saints are an ideal spot, but it appears it could actually be worse.

I did not mention an aging Superdome.

When’s the time you’ve been in the Superdome? The remodel came out pretty nice. Even opposing fans I’ve talked to said they liked the dome more than their stadium.
And our receivers are legit. Olave is a legit #2 and Shaheed is a perfect #3. Just need McMillian or Burden this draft.

I mean, it's not an ideal job but there is only 32 of them. Someone will take it.

We’re not last but we’re right above it. The Raiders have horrible ownership, a quick trigger on firing coaches and are in the toughest division in football IMO.
Saints are in a horrible position with roster and cap space but the coach knows they’re getting at least 3/4 years and are in suckass division

Story goes Brees wasn’t their first choice.
They tried to trade for Rodgers, Packers wanted the #2 pick (Reggie Bush), saints declined. This was when Rodgers was glued to the bench.
Then Payton called Parcells to try and get Romo who he recruited to them as an UDFA.This was before Romo became something. Parcells told him he wasn’t available and he should take a long look at Brees…

I am afraid a big offer from Nashville or Austin and good bye to our Saints

The point is it’s aging and no sight of a new stadium. It’s not the worst; we should have saved for a new stadium though. Aesthetically, not real nice that’s for sure.
You’re relying on a rookie to be #1 WR? We should have one with the way the last few drafts went. Right? What about a dual threat qb?
