The #Broncos traded a 1st and a 2nd round pick for a coach who just got beat by 50 by their former ball boy.

I hope the whole team turns on his arse. The media is absolutely roasting him today. He’s a egotistical a-hole.

I don't have anything against Payton personally, but he is a discount Zoolander.

If he had stayed he could’ve had Derek Carr and this defense

1. The more they lose the higher our 2nd round pick.

I agree with you. I thought I would never see the Saints win a Super Bowl.
There are a bunch of hypocrites in here. Sean was the Saints coach for 15 years I think. Most people get tired of their jobs in 4-7 years and look to move on. Sean gave us the best years the Saints has every experienced as a franchise. People who were expecting him to stay around for life are fricking retarded.

He left because the situation he created was no longer sufficient for him to get into the HoF and that's what he cares about. He also has said publically that New Orleans being a small market means that his success here was "a blip on the radar."
It's why he never tried to set up a QB succession for the post-Brees era. He hadn't wanted to be here for YEARS. But Brees was his best chance of winning.
Nobody asked him to succeed Brees with fricking Jameis Winston or go into a season with Marquez Callaway as WR1 and the corpse of Kenny Stills as WR2. Sean chose that and then bounced and left Loomis and Gayle holding the bag.

The dude that won us a Superbowl was Drew Brees. frick SP, he bailed because he didn't have the chest to rebuild here. He rode Brees coattails.....and we should have had 3 Superbowls while Drew was here.

Because he fielded the worst defenses possible and ruined Brees’ greatest years

I think the anger (if there is any) comes from the fact he essentially quit on the franchise the moment things got tougher (a year after Brees retired). Saints fans appreciate what he accomplished here with what, before 2006, was one of the worst franchises in not just NFL history, but all of professional sports (in terms of success). An NFC Championship Game appearance in 2006 was unimaginable at the time. Both given the history of the franchise AND the circumstances of the city at that time. The Super Bowl win in 2009 was unthinkable.
Unfortunately, his "retirement" was really just him quitting and telling the fanbase not that he didn't want to coach again, but that he didn't want to coach their team anymore. A team he had success with. He then went to Denver and, for whatever reason, became absurdly arrogant publicly. That was just dumb with a bad team, so Saints fans are enjoying the guy that "dumped" them have a bad go of it.

Exactly.
He tried to leave a couple times.
He made his bed.
