How does this reset the QB market? Didn’t Mahomes get 45 mil for 10 years? So 50 mil for 4 years doesn’t seem like a huge “reset” for a top 5 QB who has won a SB.

Mahomes is only 63 Mill guaranteed over 10 years. Roger's is $153 Million guaranteed over 4 years. Massive reset. I said Jameis was going to get 15-20 Million a year a month ago, now its almost guaranteed he gets at least that.

His cap hit was going to be $46M. They could easily add 1-2 voidable years on the back-end to make it work. Also, throw something stupid like a Roster Bonus of $25M+ if he's still on the team for year 4, then he retires before that comes due. Before Loomis started messing w convertible roster bonuses & voidable years, he would add stupid numbers in the last 1-2 years that the player will never see because they'll renegotiate, or get cut

Pat McAfee said his source-ces said the contract isn't signed and that the 4/200 is something that was proposed.

Now if you meant to say 63mil in total guarantees instead of 63k, you are still wrong. He got 63mil with his signing bonus.
It is stated that Mahomes guaranteed money if he were to have his leg amputated today for whatever reason and never play again would be around 140mil.
