4. P Blake Gillikin, #4
That’s right: an undrafted rookie punter who was guaranteed nothing more than a $5,000 signing bonus turned some heads on Monday. Gillikin dropped three punts inside the 5-yard line during special teams drills

Uh oh. Could save lots of money.

PJ is about as good as you can hope for in a 4 or 5 cb. I remember the game he played safety B/c of injuries, he did pretty good. Starting experience and his cap value isn’t bad, plus versatile. He’s a great value.

Morstead’s job is safe this year but they can keep this kid on the practice squad and if Morstead shows any signs of slipping this year they can move on and save some money for re-signing other players in 2021.

I just wish we still had Von Bell. I think we was underrated and had improved each year.

I just knew when I opened this that Emmanuel Butler would be somewhere on this list.

One guy I was hoping to see on here is Tre’Quan Smith. He needs to take the next step or it maybe time to move on.

This is a make it or break it year for him. Marcus Davenport too.

How often did we put him at boundary?

We did the same thing with Crawley, absolutely ruined him. His first season he was thrusted into a starter roll due to injuries and we played him at boundary, press coverage. He either made plays or was just slightly off, pretty damn good for a rookie.

Then we started playing him off coverage, mixed zone, and he was lost. We asked him to do shite he couldn’t do. PJ is in the same boat. Dude should have been moved to S years ago.

SSDD with the saints.
Like when they signed browner, BB never put him as a boundry corner. But that didnt stop SP.

I think butler makes the team this year

Me too. Sanders is a stop-gap. Need to inject some youth into that group to grow with MT13. And if you can add Butler on that UDFA contract while we’re still paying Brees, that just gives us more flexibility to fill out the roster.
