Hahahahahahaha yeah I’m calling bullshite. If Lynch had that offer he’s be nutting in his pants and would trip over himself trying to get to the phone fast enough to take it.

If we like jimmy g, I think the 2 3rds make a 2nd acceptable

Jimmy G will be traded for a single 2nd round pick or less. Book it. It will also be a good value for a contender. He gets way too much shite, sure he’s never going to be an elite QB, but he’s been an above average QB when healthy.

no, it really doesn't

Well, you obviously don't like em. Again, if we DO like em as our starting qb, a 2nd is acceptable

Pot, meet kettle. Everyone of the teams listed are either actively looking for replacements, or view themselves as not having a franchise QB except for Jets.

If the Texans were looking for a QB, they would have asked for Baker as part of the deal from the Browns. They didn't.
Pittsburgh is going to draft a QB and roll with Trubisky for now. It's their plan and everyone knows it.
Falcons would need to trade Ryan first, and there is no point in taking that type of dead money hit so you can just sign someone like Jimmy G, when you could draft a rookie with your first round picks you just didn't lose on Watson.
NYG maybe, but they seem dead set on making Jones work since the GM refuses to accept his mistake for drafting him so high.
Colts maybe, but they are interested in Mayfield.
Miami is riding with Tua right now.
In the end, could those teams upgrade? Perhaps. Reality is though that you have Winston, Mayfield and Jimmy G available still. No team is going to just overpay for a guy like Jimmy who never balled out in a system like Shanahan runs that makes it even easier for QBs to succeed.

Texans with Davis. Lol
So Pittsburgh has an opening if they plan on taking a QB.
So Falcons are still interested in a QB.
Giants have discussed either drafting another QB and also tried to trade for Russel.
Colts have 0 QBs, they need one.
I never said Miami, please read.

Lol yeah sure John you keep holding out for them 2 1st round picks

I don't read into them trying to trade for Russel, but their GM has come out and defended Jones a lot. Doesn't always mean anything, but I just don't see them giving up assets for a slight upgrade

I see them being in the market for both Baker & Jimmy G to see where they can get the best value.

Are they? They weren't really pushing for Watson until Watson made a push to reach out to them (not sure if he asked Hou to, or his agent) and get them in on the bid.

Just signed Tribisky, not sure if they would do that and still offer multiple picks for another QB

I’m not sure he’s worth One second rd pick.

Did you watch him play at all last season? He steadily progressed as the season grew and will be the best QB to come out of that draft. He was a highly touted, 5 star recruit and had the best combine out of all the rookie QB's.

I would think the price tag just dropped on jimmy g

Safe to say the Falcons are interested in a QB.

Yep, no doubting that now

Safe to say the Falcons aren’t giving up draft capital to take on $24 mil of Jimmy G for one year

I think people are really underestimating his shoulder injury. Not that he can’t come back and play well, but as someone who’s had 2 shoulder surgeries, you are never the same once you’re cut on. Brees is an outlier, but he was 26 with a huge chip on his shoulder (no pun intended) to come back and prove everybody—mainly the Chargers—wrong. Obviously Jimmy will have the best surgeon, the best PTs in the world, and all day every day to rehab. But at his age, I don’t think there’s any guarantee he’ll ever have the same arm strength he had prior, and it never seemed to be a huge strength of his game anyway.
That said, if you really like him, I’d give up a 2nd to get him. It’s not the compensation that would scare me off. It’s the putting all your eggs in that basket when he won’t be able to throw until June. So if he’s not right or has a setback, there’s no time (or other QBs) for a decent plan B. Probably have to rock with Ian Book to start the season.
But I’d rather sign Jameis. He’s younger, has always had a stronger arm, is coming off a “better” injury for a QB, has been in the building for 2 years, and we wouldn’t have to give up anything to get him. I think he’s got an obviously higher upside than Jimmy G, but all things considered, I think he’s the safer play as well.

No way someone is giving up two seconds for him. I would not give one second. Maybe a third. Maybe.

Uh, quite a bit of openings left. Saints, Texans, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Carolina, Colts, Atlanta (?) Giants (?) Jets (?)
Uhh negative. Texans are going with Mills, Pitt is going with Trubisky or Rudolph, Colts have Ryan now, Jets just drafted their qb with a high first. Seattle maybe going with Lock, not sure. Carolina still owes Darnold alot of $. Atl is tanking so they don’t care.
