Vadal Alexander in the 5th.

Nadal will be gone by the 3rd...

but just looking at it, they still have options at G... Sebastian Tretola, Spencer Drango, Joe Thuney , Landon Turner... all guys who may still be there in the 4th...

they could move Peat to G and go with a T, like Joe Haeg, Avery Young, Jerald Hawkins, Kyle Murphy...

Louis Vazquez and Lyle Sendlein are still FA's that are available as well, and we don't know what may shake lose after the draft....

They need to get their top 5 on the field and Peat is one of them at this point. I could live with strief at g and Peat at rt

Dropping kikaha in coverage was the single dumbest thing we did last year on defense, and we did A LOT OF STUPID shite on defense last season.

Imma let you finish, but continuing to trot Browner out there week after week was the dumbest move of all time.

But yeah that was dumb too. We were trying to make him a complete backer to play strongside, but he just isn't.

He just isn't equipped to play guard at this stage, or maybe ever.

He is a pure tackle and forcing him inside will stunt his development and potential ceiling.

Exactly, he's not strong enough to play guard. It is an entirely different beast of a position to play. Just like some legit tackles in college won't play it in the pros. It's a very different skill set.

Strief is different though and is more likely able to play guard effectively based on his skill sets. He was even thought to potentially be a better fit at Guard coming into the pros.

In the end, I think if Alexander is there in the 5th, you take him and don't look back. While a lot of people don't like him, he was trying to play tackle the past year and it showed, he wasn't up for it. He was dominant as a guard though.

Nice.

So we have two legit deep safeties, and two safeties with legit man cover skills.

That will help with disguising coverages. Could wreak havok. I see why we pulled the trigger.

It's hard to understand people saying WR was a wasted pick because we had a great offense last year...and then see people say we're screwed because we didn't get a Guard.

Love the first round pick. WR pick is okay...don't hate it or love it. Definitely don't mind it at all and time will tell. Picking up the best cover Safety in the draft is great. Especially when we only gave up a 3 and 4 to get a 2. That's the equivalent of only giving up a 4 at the end of the day and using our 3 on a 1st round talent.

We can still trade back in for a G. Or trade with another team. Gs are not hard to find. Another J Evans is tough. But a competent G is a dime a dozen.
