He's minus-16 over the last 5 games

Heavily skewed numbers from 2 games. The other 3 games he had a positive +/-.

Last night he was literally the only player doing anything worth a damn. He was 13/18 shooting, for 72%, the rest of the team was 26/71 for 36%.

Charlotte game was the same way, as a team we shot 38%, take Zion’s 55% shooting out and that drops to 33%.

Simple yes or no questions. Forget availability, personality, etc.

When they are on the court playing, do you believe Ingram is a better basketball player than Zion?

Yes or no.

Do you think Ingram has more value in the league than Zion?

Yes or no.

Yeah, Willie Green is going to be a great mentor for him as well.

No but one is able to fit into multiple systems, one requires a dedicated system to him.

Not on a 3rd contract, no but head to head they're not too far off imho.

availability

It's for this reason, one is a mental aspect of his game. I think if you're contending he will power through pain, similar to Toni. The other one refuses to be this version of himself year round.

Yes, He and that top draftee will develop great chemistry together. Then Zion will do what his record shows he will do.

Because he fricks up continuity and flow. He doesn't consistently make anyone around him better. He was the best in ISO last night, and the entire time has resorted to ISO ball.

Oh, but I thought the ISO ball issue was an Ingram issue. How can it possibly crop up when Ingram is out?

Yes, but I think Zion is more talented. Zion could be better, but chooses not to be.

I have a yes or no question for you now.

Do you think Zion has the mental toughness to lead a team?

If this isn't rhetorical, or a joke, then the answer is "abso-fricking-loutly not."

He doesn't have the mental toughness to take care of himself, to lead his career. The question is to lead a TEAM?? LOL. If any one here on PelsTalk is still harboring feelings or thoughts that this guy just needs a few more years to grow into it after 6 years, probably have some mental issues they themselves need to get looked at professionally.

This aged well. Is Johnny Davis even still in the league?

No.

However I don’t think Ingram does either.

And since those are our two options, I choose the one with the most potential.

Ingram is just another borderline all star at best.

Zion could potentially be an mvp level talent.

Will he get there? Probably not. Will Ingram? Zero chance

Why have we been so much better in January than in November and December?

Next year will be the 7th straight season that we’ve been told to wait til next year.

That ship sailed and sunk.

BI is at least a competitor. The difference in level of respect from teammates is all I need to know. They all love BI and do little more than put up with Zion's bullshite because they have to.

1. We played the weakest teams in the league.

2. The other 5 guys who also got healthy

Why did we win a game Zion didn't play in, then lost the next game when he did? We've won more games in January without Zion than with him.

Why do we have twice as many wins without Zion in January as we do with Zion?

We have only beaten the Bulls and Jazz with Zion. We beat the Jazz three nights later without Zion. We beat the Bulls to start the season with BI but no Zion or Murphy

We are 5-4 without Zion in January
We are 2-4 with Zion in January

Now you show your work.
