That’s nice of him, but AD was saying a similar thing in 2017.

“I’m gonna try to give you the best answer I can give,” Zion said. “Personally, I’ve always told myself I want to stay with one team. Growing up, I loved what Kobe did and Dirk did, and I think if anybody’s a Michael Jordan fan, they kinda erase the Wizards thing. He still did very well there, but at the end of the day, I don’t think people look at it from the business point of view. Some people want to stay with one team but they get traded. My intentions are to stay with the Pelicans my whole career, but if something happens, I wouldn’t leave because I hate the place. It’s just the business.”

Zion doesnt strike me a a man that is easily manipulated. I bet AD would still be in NOLA had he not been targeted by the King manipulator.

A lot can change in 7-10 years. It’s nice of him to say but NbA players staying on 1 team for their whole career are few and far between

Zion already has a better team around him than AD ever had.

Funny thing is MJ only ever played for the Wizards since Zion was born.

Yep.

Just replace Dirk/Kobe with Duncan and that is almost word for word what AD said.

But like I(and certainly others) said with AD for years. The key is winning. If you are a championship-level team by middle and into the end of his second contract, you probably have a really good shot of retaining him. If not, he's probably gone barring some drastic changes to the way the league is structured.

I don’t even know if winning is enough anymore. We just saw Kawhi win a ring and still leave Toronto because he wanted to go home to team up with PG.

Maybe things change with this next crop of upcoming superstars, but it’s clear this generation enjoys teaming up to win.

I guess when I said "a really good shot" it probably should be more like 65%. Because I think you are right.

Though I will say one good thing about Griffin so far is seeing how in tune with the league trends he is. It was either the SI or Woj podcast where he talked about franchises needing to retain the flexibility with your superstars to have that capacity to not have yourself stuck in one of those situations or to know when to pre-empt them by going after that Paul George....Or building that GS style core that wants to play together.

Well, we're lucky that Spartanburg, South Carolina doesn't have an NBA team.

The last two notifications that I got from Yahoo Sports were this one and that 26-year Old AD is scared of the dark

Anthony Davis is still scared of the dark, and has his sights set on the one thing missing from his basketball resume: an NBA title.

I was disappointed AD left but I see his point. Once he bought the mansion he will get the Kone helicopter to and from practice and games so he doesn’t have to deal with traffic.
He bought his dad s place too. I know a girl that owns a catering business and she served along with others as her husband grilled.
They had strict orders,,,,” No Eye Contact “ and “Only speak to party if spoken to or answering a question”.A Johnny on the spot restroom for the help.
