His PR team deserves a raise. This is genius. No 19 year old comes up with this on their own but he went along with it and he's AMAZING!

The anti Davis.

Un fricking believable. How can you not love this kid? AD bitches about a small city so he can score Doritos commercials while this guy embraces it and supports it.

Why must people say shite like this?

1. You have no idea what he thought. And everything you see from him shows otherwise.

2. Who gives a frick if it went down that way.

Try not being so cynical. Life is better.

Based on my limited knowledge —

The Pels were in discussions with the vendor (who controls salaries) but were dealing w an unknown timetable of NBA suspension, contracts, etc...so it wasn’t yet completed.

Then Zion just offered on his own to step in and handle 30 days of it.

More to what Scott said:

Multiple sources told me Pelicans and SMG were working towards something before Zion just stepped up and said he’d handle.

Zion just did it on his own while the two organizations were working on something unbeknownst to him.

How we aren’t already calling it Mount Zion is beyond me. Maybe even Holy Mt. Zion.

If it were premeditated, or pure kindness, or a PR move (doubtful); we are fortunate to have people like Zion in our community, in our society, in the world.

Great people do great things. God bless, Zion Williamson.

Exactly those workers won’t care what the reason for him doing it was when they know they can pay their bills this month.

Even better is this comes out after the report the owners might not pay the rest of this years salary.

I'd be COMPLETELY okay with him and Burrow just having a threesome with my gf.

Also Zion doing what piece of crap AD would never do.

This thread got weird fast lol...Anyways, just another example about how much of a different person he is than AD.

Still remember the stories here and from friends about how much of a prick AD could be around town.

Zion seems like pure class.

That they were talking with the company that runs arena services about how they could help their workers. It's oddly worded for sure

Where is this report?

The owners have to pay the rest of the years salaries..

There's a provision that says thet could enact some doomsday sce8and not have to pay a percentage, but that percentage is like right above 1% of a players salary
