That's not an angry emoji, that's a devil emoji. Like Blue Devils.

You are a strange one.

He looks fine to me. Better than he did in December that's for sure.

Could he be in a little bit better shape, yeah.

But he looks fine, very far from Tractor Traylor.

People just want him to look like Duke Zion. I get it, I do too.

But he looks like he looked last season when he average 27ppg on 60% shooting. If one can't be content with that, then they're just looking for any reason they can to not be content.

The offseason barely just started and some keyboard warriors are already in full swing. Give the kid the entire offseason before some of you start casting stones.

The issue is how quickly he got bigger, he hasn't been able to sustain health, and then projecting further out couple years into a max contract. It's not so straight forward.

He clearly lost weight and got in shape the more he played. If he comes into camp already at a fitness level that he got to a few months into the season, then maybe a few months into the season he gets closer to Duke Zion level fitness.

And he hasn't even been able to go full out on his foot yet. He will look better once they release him to do whatever workouts he wants.

That's just his constant shtick.

Im not worried about Zion. From what we’ve heard and seen he seems very motivated with a full summer of health to get back to the shape that everyone expects. I think all the hate he got really got to him

You are not worried about a guy that has been injured seriously 4 times in 4 years and has been overweight the entirety of his NBA career?

Doncic got blasted at the beginning of the year for showing up 20# overweight (260, instead of his normal 240). It took him a couple of months to play back down to his regular weight. He took the blame and has stated it won't happen again. So it's not rare for these Superstars. No one is attacking Zion. He just has to be more aware and learn from those around him.

But I'm very concerned. This summer is it. If he can't turn it around now, he never will..

Nah it was joke lol. Obviously not as heavy as tractor Taylor lol god damn. But he is still fat. Unless that protruding waistline is all abs. Maybe it is, I did hear one time they had to stop him from lifting because he put on muscle too fast

not everyone has the same opinion on how Zion should look when 100%. Some expect him to be Duke Zion if he actually went all out with his health, others expect how he’s looked since being here when playing.

He should be lighter than both. The delusion on this topic is contagious. People are already making excuses for him. Why can't he be in peak shape?

I’m with you. We’ll see what happens when he can go 100% on his foot. But there’s no reason why he can’t be Duke era fit. Being this size now is gonna be tough to sustain success long term without having more injuries. Not saying it’s impossible, just unlikely.

Because he doesn't have to be in peak shape to dominate.

If Shaq shot 75% instead of 50% from the FT line he'd have averaged 2 more points a game. He didn't need 2 more points a game to do what he did, so he didn't do whatever it took to be a better FT shooter.

Most players that last in this league have a story about when they started taking their diet and body maintenance seriously. Zion will probably have that epiphany at some point if this year wasn't that, but we may never see 0% body fat Zion, because he doesn't need to be in peak condition to wreck the league.

Yes, he does. He hasn't dominated anything yet. His injuries are a direct result of his mass. He's not going to be able to do anything if he can't play.

I don't like harping on this. But there is this belief that the weight is ok because it's muscle or he is just built differently. He is trying to play heavier (BMI wise) than any player in NBA history. It's not going to work.

I don't care about his bodyfat%. He needs to loose mass, including muscle. He has to rebuild his body. They have said this repeatedly and yet 3 years in, it hasn't started yet. I don't understand it. Its like watching the slowest car wreck ever..

All of the rumors say the team agrees with you but Zion disagrees and in fact thinks his mass is one of the keys to his success.

Hopefully a more spaced out court and JV to take most of the physical beatings will let Zion see how improving his speed and handle are what will take him to the next level.
