I'm so tried of this hindsight bs whoever got the #1 pick was taking Zion
we may be at the watershed moment.
how was your summer?
morant worked on his outside shot.
zion broke his toe.
zion misses out on working with new guys.
morant carries team until brooks gets back.
jjj is a no show.

That’s not the debate bro. We recently had a thread if you could go back in time knowing what we know now who would you pick.
That has no basis in reality, so it's a moot point.
Everyone in the world +1 was taking Zion. Best prospect since LeBron

Doncic was the best prospect since Lebron.
Doncic dominated even before Euroleague (MVP of International Junior Tournament 2015),
He's Euroleague MVP, a league where young players usually don't have a lot of minutes (especially in this era).
Before NCAA, RJ Barrett was the consensus 1st pick, not Zion.
Zion's hype increased in NCAA.

Maybe, but he also looks like a 50 year old man getting winded after that slow paced lateral movement lol. frick that dude.

He's a bad month (we've seen it before) from being John "Hot Plate" Williams.
This is bad. I think there's a legit risk that he never gets his weight down again.

Doncic wasn't even the 1st pick. People were skeptical cause he's not that great of an athlete.
Best prospect since James is Davis. He won every major college award after leading his team to a National title. People thought he was the next Duncan..

He’s another month away from weighing in 30 lbs heavier.

He's justly underestimated on this aspect. He bullies most of the opposing players when he decides to play low post (Jalen Green, Dejounte Murray etc).
He doesn't have a height deficit and is rather strong
Although, Josh Giddey is underestimated on this aspect also.

Davis won each thing but Doncic won each thing also but with tougher competition (Euroleague > NCAA)

Lol relax baw. You, like many before you and many after you have been wrong over and over again and you are debatably the king of the “prisoner of the moment” posts. But, I’m not out here bookmarking all of your takes. I’d run out of internet bandwidth.
I’m just removing my head from my arse and bias as a Pels fan. Ja is currently the better prospect. He has a higher probability of leading his teams to wins and he has a higher ball of fame probability right now.
Bookmark away. I hope to be incorrect. But do me a favor and also acknowledge if and when I am correct as well.

Can’t blame stars for leaving New Orleans. The fans here would find a way to hate Steph Curry and Kevin Durant if they were on our team. It’s like everyone on this board thrives off of having something to collectively hate

I think the frustration is mostly understandable and fine, but calling him a fat piece of shite is definitely over the top.
He’s still a kid. I assume the posters doing that are 21 or younger. Or at least I hope they are.
I think a lot of this fanbase is still scarred from AD and to a lesser extent CP3 (CP3 mostly left the right way) and that is eliciting stronger angst than likely deserved towards Zion.

This isn’t AD vs Lillard where the “talent level” and ability to single handedly impact winning didn’t line up like you’d expect. If fully healthy you pick Zion.
I don’t blame people for not having faith he’ll ever get in shape, but if all that stands between Zion and greatness is a better diet, that’s a pretty easy thing to achieve for a multi million dollar athlete when he decides it’s what he needs to do it.
People are literally comparing him to Greg Oden who was predisposed to high injury risk through a physical deformity. Zion just needs to stay in shape during the offseason and he’ll be great.

Jrue Holiday didn't win shite for the Pelicans, and demanded a trade, but he's treated like royalty because he was a grown man who showed up to work and cared about the city. The bar is literally on the ground to win this fanbase over.
Pelicans fans got online everyday for years defending Anthony Davis, to the point where it was borderline embarrassing. There was no hate towards that guy until the BS way he left.
Zion's been out of shape every single day of his Pelicans career. Every day. Not once have we gotten Zion Duke. Now we're watching this man, look like a defensive tackle, get winded sliding across the lane. People have every right to be mad.

Ive been a big AD basher over the last year or so... But im almost at the point where im good with him again despite all of the bullshite at the end.
Yes, its getting to the point where i just can respect anyone that shows up and does their job and can actually stay in shape. AD at least was professional like 80% of his pelicans tenure.
Zion, and i dont have anything concrete to base this off of, feels like the next Eric Gordon to me.

I'd be so fricking embarrassed if I was Zion. Gonna make his way out the league because he eats like shite and can't get any any good shape.
