Well, i think Zion is stupid. Aaron Nelson was still the best trainer at Suns. Nelson just takes precautions towards his players.

It’s the day of the NBA draft and you are posting a three week old article that has been discussed already like it is new news? By the way, Zion is right to dislike Nelson. Objectively, Nelson’s tenure here was a failure, and not just with Zion.

bullshite. Zion's brittle, lazy arse is the one guy who has no right to blame Nelson.

Aaron Nelson dislikes Zion's inability to get on the court.

Only thing Zion likes is Only Fans and Krispy Kreme.

The "bursts" during his rookie season were really stupid

Nelson was like a bery bad safety guy
So preoccupied about about what might happen, overlooks the need to actually have to work and meet deadlines

And it led to the longest uninterrupted stretch of basketball he's played since high school. I don't know why people like to leave that part out.

That probably has something to do with his first significant injury in his life.
The burst sucked but if your boy ballooned up to 300+lbs, it probably hard for any medical staff to manage. Either way, they'll probably won't hold him back any longer moving forward with a new guy. He's going to play at his own risks.
If there's something you can complain about with this staff is that he has suffered at least one setback during every single significant injury under their watch. That's probably the biggest issue.

And it's probably going to end the way Nelson knew it would if he played major minutes without fixing his posture and getting his weight under control

Nelson literally kept him off the court.

This is incorrect. What it led to was him being pissed off at the organization because he couldn't play meaningful basketball his entire rookie year. His longest stretch was under SVG which was the next season. So if he plays 65 games next season, are you going to credit Nelson's great hamstring rehab program this past season "leading to the longest stretch of games he played as a Pelican?" The fact is that the bursts were dumb and they fractured a relationship between Zion and the organization before it really got started.

The bursts had nothing to do with his second season.

Is Aaron Nelson even fired? He’s still on the official website

He came into college overweight for his age with bad posture. He immediately played regular minutes and lasted 25 games before he got hurt.
Return from injury to full minutes immediately. Plays 7 games, gets drafted, gets hurt in first summer league game.
Returns for preseason with no bursts. Gets hurt before beginning of regular season.
Nelson oversees rehab. Sits longer than expected while team tries to address posture and weight issues because Nelson knows its going to be an issue long term. Zion understandably wants to play. Comes back with the bursts and plays 24 games with no issue and goes into off season healthy enough to participate in an entire camp for the first time. Plays 61 games that season.
That following off season he still hasn't addressed his eating habits or posture. Breaks his foot while working out and doesn't heal properly because he was overweight and had posture. Then decides he wants to rehab on his own which doesn't work so he misses a full season. Can't participate in a full off season program and begins the next season full tilt no bursts. That season he lasted less than 30 games before he tore his hamstring. That injury turned into a season long thing and I'll give you one guess at the 2 reasons why.
