rt3 you are the homie but considering this aint really no normal week in basketball one would think the team would try and get ahead of things considering the negative precdents they have set in the past.

They operate as if fans dont matter to a degree. Which is crazy because I know for a fact people rep that team for the name of the city on the chest. All we ask is you just be upfront and they have an extremely hard time doing this.

The medical team DGAF about the team's record & playoff standing

They're going to stick to their timelines for the health of the athlete

We'll find out about Zion (and maybe Jose too since they said 2-3 weeks for his next reevaluation at the same time as Zion) with a new medical update sometime tomorrow

ETA: that all being said... every time I see a Pelicans app push notification on my phone... I do still look at the notification very quickly to see if it is the team's official medical update

If you honestly still believe it’s the training staff holding him back you haven’t been paying attention.

There have been numerous credible reports during previous injuries that Zion was pleading to return, and the team wouldn't allow it.

Like last season when he posted that dunk. By all accounts, that was done to pressure the team for a return.

I find it extremely hard to believe that a team in the thick of a playoff hunt will refuse to play their best player of whom they just paid the max too. That just doesn’t make sense.

Zion always wants to return and the team doesn't allow it. We know that has happened multiple times before.

Just stop. If the star of any team wants to play, they can force it. Two tweets about how he wants to be out there and the subsequent media pressure is all it would take.

Were you not a fan in 2020? Do you not remember our best player hating the organization because of “bursts” after making him sit an extra three weeks after a meniscus surgery?

I think it’s a lot of things. I think zion wants to play but is probably 85-90% healthy and also out of game shape. I also think this FO and training staff won’t take a single risk with him.

I honestly don’t care if zion gets reinjured. He’s just as likely to get hurt in the offseason if you hold him out. I mean he just broke his foot in the 21 summer and missed a whole season. Nothing is guaranteed and scared money don’t make money. Play the fricking guy
