The season is long over. Just start trading and tank for lottery balls.

Don’t get rid of Green till the end of the year.

He is steering that tank closer and closer to Flagg, Harper, or Bailey.

He should have been fired when there was still a chance to salvage the season. At this point , if they fire him they have to pay him and pay someone else to assume the head coach role. Unnecessary expense for the same results.

Also, I knew as soon as Dennis Allen was fired that Willie was safe. The organization doesn’t want that stigma of firing 2 coaches in season. Willie is worse at his job than DA was at his!!

That’s not true. DA has failed w 2 organizations now.

Willie ain’t perfect, but he gets a bad rap. This is largely Zion and Griff’s mess. If Willie had Presti and Shai instead of those 2 shitheads, his career arc would be looking a lot better right now.

my only problem with waiting ,is Willie gets lucky when other teams are sitting players sitting players at the end of the season. Willie gets lucky and wins 15 of 20. Then Griff’s weak arse keeps him. Fire Willie now

marginally.... he still runs an antiquated, predictable offense... he still has trouble actually managing the flow and tempo of the game of basketball... he still doesn't know when or how to utilize his assets (time outs, technicals, etc)... he more than likely still have piss poor situational rotations, and would still favor vets over younger players...

basically, he'd still be a subpar coach, just with better, healthier talent to cover for his ineptness, giving the appearance of being a "good coach"

after all the failed coaching hires he's made, Griff and Green are basically a package... you fire one, the other is gone too... in fact, i suspect that's one of the biggest reason Griff hasn't pulled the trigger on Green earlier... he'd be signing his own pink slip

Willie has to go. We can't keep getting our asses beat every game. It's one thing to lose, it's another to routinely just look plain terrible.
The injury excuse doesn't fly with me anymore. Yeah BI and Zion are out, but you still have 7-8 legit NBA players out there now, and 4 of them (Murray/CJ/Trey/Hawk) are all capable of scoring 20+ on any given night. You're getting good enough minutes from Missi and Boston, and Javonte Green's been in the league as a contributor before. There's no reason to fall down 20+ early on in every single game.

The Magic are performing much better without their 2 stars and it's been against extremely tough competition.

We are 2nd to last in the league in potential assists per game.
We are 5th to last in the league in catch and shoot FGA per game. This stat to me is crazy considering we are 7th in the league in drives per game.
We are bottom 10 in points in the paint
We are 2nd in the league in pull up shooting, not a good stat to be 2nd in considering we are 3rd to last in 3 point FGA/game. That means those pull ups are a lot more 2's than what other teams are taking. And that's not BI driving that stat alone.
We are 8th in the league in ISO plays per game, which is hilarious considering we haven't had our two main iso players playing.
If you aren't that good in the halfcourt, then maybe push the pace in transition, but nah, we're 7th to last in transition FGA/game.

So we are getting drives to the goal, but we somehow don't score in the paint nor do we kick out for catch and shoot 3's. What kind of offense is that?

It's one of two things. Willie's offensive philosophy is stupid, or he doesn't have control of his team and they just do whatever the frick they want.
Either of those options are fireable offenses at this point.

I don't care what y'all say about wanting to lose. Yeah i get it, losing increases our chances at a high pick. But not losing like this. Doesn't matter who's the coach, we aren't going in improve to anything better than probably 8th worse. Zion's fat arse ain't playing again this year. BI will be out until February. The only teams I'd bet we finish better than are the Wizards and Jazz. I think the Nets are going to quit trying. Not sure why the Raptors are doing so terrible, but I don't think they will continue to lose. The Blazers, Hornets, Pistons are all playing better this year and actually trying, but we can still finish better than those 3 if we start playing better. Even if we ended the season winning a good bit, those are the only teams we woudl pass up, and that's 7 teams. Maybe add the Bulls to that list if they make some lose now trades at the deadline. We are too talented to finish bottom 4, unless Zion never plays, BI is traded, and we have more injuries.

Just fire the guy. I can't take it anymore.

and all I talked about here was the offense being bad. The defense is just as terrible, and there's no excuse for that. It's just bad overall. Again, you can lose and use the injury excuse somewhat, but that's not what's happening anymore. We simply aren't even trying. AD talks about it every game. At some point the players have to take pride in their job and stop getting run off the court every game.

look man... ain't no body here happy about where we are right now... but it is what is, this season... an no amount of bitching, crying, acting out, demanding, etc , from anyone here, is going to change that... so just become ambivalent towards it... accept the season is over, regardless of what happens, and move on, rather than hoping some miraculous change is coming, b/c, bruh... it aint

I’m not asking for a miraculous change.
What makes you think I want them to somehow make the playin or something?
That’s impossible.
They can go .500 over there next 54 games and still finish bottom 10 easily.

That’s my point. We’ll finish bad no matter what, so get his arse out of here and let’s work on improving the chemistry of the team and the games of our younger players, b/c that’s not happening at all anymore.
The more this loser don’t give a shite attitude keeps happening, the more normal it becomes going into next year.

I'd rather not have another Hailburton/Lewis situation so while it doesn't assure anything, let's be terrible.

something tells me you didn't actually play a lot of sports growing up....

you think that once we have Bi gone, Willie and Griff gone, and possibly Zion, and then hire a new GM and a new coach, that the culture that those guys had facilitated is going to be allowed to hang around? firing him now doesn't make us any less susceptible to that improbable permeation, vs. if we fire him later... the wholesale changes will be striking enough that other will get the picture..

Everybody wats to fire the coach in professional sports.A franchise is
onlt as good as its management. Willie is not a good coach but Griffen is
just as culpable if not more than Green.
Both Griffin and Loomis have failed to give the coaches the rosters to
be successful. No coach would win under these circumstances with lack
of talent.

I agree, he isn't trying to win, maybe he's in on the tank. Did they promise him something to drive the tank ?
