New Orleans will inherit the $1.5M cap hit of Christian Wood for the 2018-19 season. Wood has a non-guaranteed salary of $1.6M for 2019-20 with $822,679 becoming guaranteed if he is not waived by the Team's first regular game of the season.

Basically we traded Tim Frazier for him (the Bucks cut him to make room for Frazier)

He’s was one developmental guy I thought we should’ve taken a shot on long ago

Leading scorer in the g-league this year. Bucks really did not want to let him go. I’m riding

yes they did
had they kept him if they’d won the title they’d have paid the tax
they waived wood when they signed Frazier hoping he’d get claimed

It's nice collecting all these projects but out of Wood, Bertrans, Frank, Jahlil, K Williams, and Blueitt --- how many guys from that group do you guys expect to even be rotation guys when we are competing for the playoffs in 2-3 years? I think one, at most

On top of that, we will likely have between 3-5 picks in this year's draft. It's going to be hard next year to try and develop even half these guys while also being competitive enough to keep Jrue happy

I agree, I only see Frank as a player on our team as a possible rotation player.

But with that said, it is a bit premature to say who will be on the team next year. Bertans looks like he will have a hard time sticking in NBA (small sample size). Jahlil and Kenrich are interesting, but I am not sure. But I do see enough to know that Jahlil and Kenrich have not reached close to their potential. I know nothing of Wood other than he is slight of frame and is not a good shooter. He does seem to be a good G league rim protector.

So by not being on your "young player" list, do you think Diallo is a rotation player on your team?

But I would have to know what your playoff team looks like in your 2-3 year window.

The rebuild timeline decision is the only thing that matters. All of these current prospects and results are fairly inconsequential.

Highly doubtful many, if any, of those guys are part of the next good Pels team.

pels only have four players under guaranteed contract for 2019-20...

holiday
davis
moore
hill

of those only holiday has a future.
of the non-gtd's and FA's, i predict not a single one of them is on the team in 2021

I didn't see last night's game, but looks like he put up great numbers, and others are saying he played great.

I know there's a lot going on in the offseason, but is this a guy we hang onto?

He played really well. FT shot needs a lot of work but otherwise he was good.

He can play. Not sure he will ever be a full on rotation guy but he can play.

With the commitment to the G-League by the NBA as well as the advent of two-way contracts, there is going to be more opportunity for player development. Sure, it's a stretch for most of these guys to become contributors, but that said small market teams like the Pels will have a better chance of developing home grown talent that fits their franchise rather than chasing fickle free agents. I'm not convinced you can't build a contender through cultivating a deep roster of "B" talent with two or three of All-Stars at the tip of the spear. . .
