What do you mean it’s not enough? Boston doesn’t need a third team. They have everything the Pelicans want. Whether they offer everything that’s asked is another story.

If lakers are getting a third team involved, Boston will have to do the same. Their assets straight up aren’t enough

I think that part is pretty clear at this point. I doubt that's the sticking point. It seems like the more at risk side (Boston) has cold feet about offering their best asset (Tatum).

Plus, do we know for sure that Griffin values Tatum over Ingram?

Tatum, Smart, Brown, Robert Williams III, and a ton of firsts aren’t enough?

People shouldn't be trashing this, it IS news.

It is a direct shot at Rich Paul.

"frick you, we are still talking to the Celtics, and they don't even NEED a 3rd team to get involved like the Lakers do."

Griff told him to publicly let the Lakers know hes still talking to the Celtics

Yep, posturing. Just letting the Lakers know that if they don't pull off this 3-way trade soon to land the Pels what they want, they still have the Celtics that they can go to.

Everything is reported for a reason.

So far, Boston has been undeterred in pursuing Davis -- despite his agent insisting AD would be a 2020 flight risk in free agency. For Boston, Davis could still be its best case to keep Kyrie Irving. Story soon on ESPN.com

Boston’s assets are definitely enough to do a deal

rumor is we’re telling the lakers to get the hawks or wizards to join the deal. If we can get Beal and Ingram plus some picks and maybe another player, that’s much better than just Tatum Smart, etc.

The Lakers have to pull off a move like that for the deal to have a serious shot against Boston. Boston just needs to decide if they are all in for Davis or not. If the Lakers can’t pull off a miracle, then Boston will probably get Davis. Griffin is just waiting for the best package possible and the Lakers desperation is driving up the cost for Boston.

I think he means that the Lakers wouldn’t trade for Kyrie because he just declined his PO and is a FA. The Kyrie to LA talk I think is just tongue in cheek

They can sign him outright without giving up assets.

I agree Beal and Ingram would be a great haul but are the Wizards willing?
