You're right, I forgot he just declined his option.

I don’t care if he ends up with LAL. I just want as close to equal value as possible and for this to go away.

It would be fun if that value sent him to BOS and we got to hear him and Paul cry all year in the media.

I thought people would see my comment about a 3-team trade between BOS-LAL-NOP as a complete joke since its almost impossible realistically

guess I was wrong

At this point I want to trade AD to some Russian development league just to frick with him and Rich Paul. They can both eat a bag of dicks.

I’m sure Langdon knows a guy who can make that happen.

Or we can send him to Brooklyn and Prokorov can do it.

I guess this is better in this thread than the other.

I've seen a couple of posters use the Wiz as a 3rd team with the Pels acquiring Beal. Is this possible within the framework of a deal with LAL involving Ingram, Ball and the #4?

If so, would this be better than a BOS package that inluded Tatum, Brown/Smart and future picks?

Same here, and I could not figure out any way how that would work.

What would Washington get in that scenario?

I think the Lakers would give the 4, a young player (Ball or Kuz most likely), and a future pick to Washington for Beal, Pels would net Ingram and Beal, and maybe another young asset like Hart, or possibly the 9th pick in the draft from Wash.

As to whether or not that is better than the Boston trade, I think that's a toss up. I would prefer Boston because frick the Lakers, but both deals are good.

I prefer a Boston deal b/c frick Rich Paul and the Lakers, but i also would love to see him go to the Lakers and he and Lebron fail.

It sounds to me that Griffin has let each potential partner know exactly what pieces they need to send us to complete the deal.

I confess that I was imagining a situation where Griffin was just bidding other teams against each other and challenging them to do better, but it sounds to me he's negotiating with each team independently, and that whichever team manages to put together our desired pieces gets the deal.

From the Woj article. Originally it implied that they weren't offering anything substantial, but he edited the article afterwards. That's good news.
