I know I have went on a rant today. I want the Pels to succeed in New Orleans, it's no fun being the fan of a hobo franchise. I'm more irritated with with the lackluster crowd and people making monkey slave references on here (which many on here seem to support). The team is predominantly black but 1865 monkey jokes are cool with this crowd. That ruffled my feathers, so I did the same.

I only saw the comment shortly after it was posted, at that point it had 14 down votes to 2 up votes IIRC, and someone said the poster got banned. Wasn't it on the first page of the game thread? I don't see it in the poster's post history and I can't find it so I believe the admins deleted it. Downvoting and requesting admin may not be the most visible form of rebuke, but that doesn't mean the comments were supported by many here.

Fear made a pretty inappropriate joke and it seems like he got appropriately dinged for it.

Because there ain’t shite to do in Orlando or Sacramento besides go to an NBA game
Orlando has great support for their MLS team too. They are just a loyal fanbase in a town with a shite ton of people.

You also have to look at capacity dummy. It shows that we’re at 94.8% full, which is 17th in the league. Seems accurate for a fringe playoff team.
We have the ability to have higher attendance but don't so I don't now that having more seats would help THAT much.

That’s definitely an issue, and seems like a reasonable fix. People complain about it all the time.
Dayooooooooo
Clap clap clap your hands
Yawn
The Saints have one of the best home crowds in the NFL, and the Pels can absolutely have that, too. Starts with being a winner, but providing a better atmosphere with some local flair would certainly help, too.

This is the absolute worst. It drives me insane that they still use it, but the frequency with which they do is truly maddening.

Lol. So it takes a winning home record for you to go to the game?

10 feet.
Same everywhere.
Team is good not great.
The economics changed after Katrina. Lawyers moved and so did other professionals with money to burn.
You have to have local interest in the sport or money to burn.
It's not ft Wayne.
Syracuse, Rochester and ft Wayne had NBA teams.
Syracuse to Phil's after warriors went to sf.
Too many snow days in upstate ny. No flights. Tv companies want sure thing broadcast slots.
New Orleans pels will move.
Louisville.
Pittsburgh.
Had aba teams.
Cincinnati, again??
