Here's the problem. In order for us to get to 4 Utah needs to lose twice. Once they lose once, Portland clinches the 3 and rests players for their game against Jazz.

Looking at this, if the Pels win out, I don't think they can be worse than the 5 seed. Min and Den can't get to 48 wins, and we'll have beaten the Spurs to give them 47 wins max.

UTA (46-33) plays the LAL, GSW, and POR to close out. Pels need to win both games and Utah must lose 2 for us to vault
OKC (46-34) will probably win both of their final two games (MIA and MEM) but we have the tiebreaker and will be ahead if we win out.
SAS (46-34) has SAC and NOP. Big for final game for playoff positioning
MIN (45-35) has MEM and DEN. I'd put my money on them winning both so the Pels need to win both games since we don't have the tiebreaker
DEN (45-35) has POR and MIN. So the deck is stacked against them
Cant look past the Clippers but if we win (and I think we will win that one) the game against SAS will likely determine if the Pelicans will be 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th seed. This is nuts

Actually, looking again, I think they'd be 4th if they won out. OKC could get to 48 wins, but I think the Pels have the tiebreaker against them. Would you rather 6th than 4th? I don't want to play Utah, but it would be hard to root against home court in the first round.

Pels, Utah and OKC could all end up at 48-34. Adding the Jazz to our tiebreaker might not be great for us. We might go 2-0 and actually drop
