Gentry will be calling Kerr up tomorrow night after the Suns game asking for a favor from an old friend.
With the way the Pacers played tonight, it's possible it could happen.
Rest vs Us
Play vs Phoenix
Rest vs Utah
Go into the playoffs rested
Durant has played 5 games since returning from injury
Thompson has played 4 games since returning from injury
Green has played 5 games since returning from injury
3-1 in the games where all 3 played. I think they're fine to rest

They will likely all play and beat us by 10. Pels need to take care of Phoenix, LAC and SA

Pels win and T-Wolves loss on Friday would make things pretty interesting in that Nuggets/T-Wolves season finale.

If the Pels and Wolves win on Friday and the Nuggets beat the Clippers on Saturday, the Clippers will be eliminated from the playoffs and should be an easy win for the Pels.
It's looking like that last game of the season versus the Spurs could be the deciding factor for the Pels playoff chances.

It will only be easy if the clippers rest players.

What is the Pels magic number?
Posted on 4/6/18 at 7:24 am to NorthshoreTiger76
3 is correct. Denver and Minnesota play each other again, so they can't both finish with 47 wins.

not true.
They could either come out pissed, which would suck, or they could come out dejected, and get their arse kicked.

Pels can start to really tighten the screws on Minny/Den/SA/OKC with a win tonight...

Kerr on Warriors loss to Pacers
well that sucks for us.
quote:
"Yeah, I'm embarrassed," he continued. "I'm embarrassed. I know this game doesn't mean anything in the seeding, but the playoffs start next week. It was an embarrassing effort. A pathetic effort. "...
Well, maybe they are [bored]. Maybe the game doesn't matter. So, we'll try next week. Hopefully we will."
A bout with New Orleans on Saturday will serve as the home finale and then two road games -- Phoenix, Utah -- close out the season. The Warriors understand that this latest performance is unacceptable.
well that sucks for us.

needless to say tonite, then at @LAL are must wins
win those two and they should be good with a chance to move up vs SAS

Of course that'll be their attitude Saturday. They took 3 weeks off against the rest of the West, but when the Pels show up, it's time to pretend it's game 1 of the Finals.

Pels can’t worry about the Dubs game. If AD has to play 40+ mins tonight to secure the PHX win, so be it.

Hopefully Booker does not play tonight. He would probably go for 50

Officially, Alan Williams out tomorrow. Booker, Payton, Warren, Daniels all listed as questionable but Triano made it sound as if none of them will play.

I just slapped together a quick spreadsheet to look at the situation. Something that jumped out at me is the number of games between teams 3 to 10, which are still technically in the hunt without a full clinch. There are 7 games remaining between teams in that range.
All 3 Blazers games are against teams in that hunt (Spurs, Nuggets, Jazz)
All 3 Nuggets games (Clips, Blazers, Wolves)
Our Pelicans are involved in 2 (Clippers and Spurs), with a 3rd against the Warriors.
Spurs have 2 (Blazers and Pelicans)
Clippers have 2 (Nuggets and Pelicans)
The Thunder don't have any, but they do have the Rockets (tough, but clinched) and the Heat (locked in between 6-8 in the East)
I don't think the NBA schedulers could have hoped for a better final week of games. 2 of the less meaningful games in our group involve the Lakers.
We're still not technically out of the hunt for 3, but it would take a lot of help. 4 is a little more likely, but also tough. 5 and 6 are very achievable and puts you in a MUCH better position for reaching round 2.

Absolutely, we'd be okay if we lost to the Warriors, but a Suns loss would make things a lot tougher. Win the front end and let the Segababa work itself out.
