For all those down in the dumps, you know we weren't exactly setting the world on fire when Boogie was here, and many threads were made here about 3 or 4 games that he "single-handedly" lost for us. I think we're not that far off from where we were pre-Boigie. We used to joke and say win one, lose one, now we're stringing more victories together than we were before.
Well it felt like the team was about to really start clicking right when Boogie went down. I remember watching that Rockets game thinking damn we are pretty good. Mirotic is a great solution short term and long. Boogie and AD will need rest especially with Boogie coming off injury.

We were playing our best ball of the year preboogie injury.--had won 7 out of our previous 8 games and had just beat the team with the best record in the NBA.

Best ball of the year, yes, but it wasn't leaps and bounds greater than what were doing now. Chance to compete for 4th seed or possibly the 3rd? Maybe, but again as of now that's only a two game advantage.

Last season the T-Wolves finished 31-51. This season they are 36-26 after adding Jimmy Butler, Jeff Teague, Taj Gibson, and Jamal Crawford. Butler is obviously the best out of those 4 so losing him is big. The other 3 will definitely keep the Wolves from slipping too far, but I think it's safe to at least say they will not finish 4th in the West. The question is how far will they fall?

He ranked third-league wide in Real Plus-Minus, ahead of LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo and a host of other A-listers. With Butler on the court, the Timberwolves’ net rating was +7.8, roughly equivalent to the No. 3 ranked Raptors. Without him, the Timberwolves’ net rating plunged to -8.7, roughly equivalent to the No. 29 ranked Kings. With Butler, Minnesota managed to boast the No. 3 overall offense despite ranking 27th in bench scoring.

Towns’ defensive rating balloons to 120.9, bringing that once impressive 9.3 net rating all the way down to -6.5. Butler alone accounts for a 15.8 point swing in Towns’ net rating

Butler nightly takes on the toughest perimeter defensive assignment; even with him leading the team in minutes the Wolves still only manage the 26th-ranked defense by defensive rating; when he sits, their defensive rating goes from a perfectly respectable 105 points per 100 possessions to a truly stomach-churning 116, a number that is more than five points worse than the Phoenix Suns’ league-worst defense.

fricking shite Suns had PDX tonight and blew it. Mavs and Bulls were also competitive with Jazz and Wolves, but tanked second half. At least Warriors took care of OKC.

Phoenix had the ball tied at 104 with like 20 seconds left and got a 5 second violation trying to inbound the ball after a timeout then gave up a Dame layup for the loss. Pathetic tanking.

For me it is frickin' dumb to expect anything from 8-9tanking teams.
F.e. Wolves are playing at Sacto on Monday. Expect surprise there? Good luck.
First win Your games. Then root for others. Firstly on good teams.
If Pels will win their games - they may think about seedings.

He's telling you there's an 8 team race to the bottom and one owner has already been fined for admitting to tanking so we shouldn't expect help from those teams.
Posted on 2/25/18 at 10:30 am to TigerinATL
Exactly.
~9 teams are tanking
Many of the games will be between them.
They wont risk to win with PO teams. 1-2 wins will make the difference.
Expect Kings/Hawks to lead by 15 and lose by 2.
Easier say than done. Pels play vs Suns on Monday :)

Lol look I don’t disagree with you. I don’t expect help, but my jimmies were rustling last night when all Minnesota, Utah, and Portland were either trailing, tied, or holding a slight lead going into the 4th on tanking teams last night at around the same time.
I’m an optimist bruh I can’t help it

The've definitely had our number. We don't seem to match up.
