I’ll admit, I am a Pels fan, but a casual one. I don’t follow them as much as a lot of you here. What I want to know is why is this team so up and down? It seems like they can’t get a solid win streak going. I know BI has been battling injuries, but what else is keeping this team from being one of the better contenders?

There’s also that Zion fella that’s missing some time.

Basically? This team relies heavily on their top two guys. Like a lot. And this team is awful on the road without them because the role players can only play good at home, or against trash teams on the road. A lot of people got sucked into the media saying this was the best bench in the league...yeah at home lol.

That's what happens when your best 2 players are missing.

As long as we win vs the teams we should beat (Orlando, Houston, okc, etc) than it's fine.

Our 2 stars have played 93 games together in the 4 years they’ve been with us

Serious question, and although you think I'm a terrible poster, I'd hope you can give a serious answer.

Do you think at full health we're a better team than Memphis?

Idk this feels moot. Yeah both teams at full strength the Pels have more stars. But the Pels never have their stars. Meanwhile we have watched Memphis ball without their top guy, second guy too. They are better like 4 to the bottom of the bench. They can survive injuries (Memphis). They have drafted so well.

Their length at every single position is overwhelming.

The Pels are 17-5 at home and 9-13 on the road is the short answer.

Why is that the answer? The Pels are built around 2 star players that have been injured most of the year. They have bench players that can make up for it some, but these bench players are young, and those guys tend to play much better at home than on the road.

For the most part they are winning the games they should win which is huge. Without a healthy roster it’s hard to expect them to beat the teams in the top half of the league on the road. Not much room for more than 1 of our main scorers to be off without BI and Zion in the lineup. Some of the guys that the Pels are having to play extended minutes just aren’t good enough for us to sustain against better teams. We can’t matchup well defensively. If Pels can get healthy, there will be quality depth without major weaknesses and our second team should be better than most teams in the league. All this playing time the second string should play dividends.

Down our best two players and it’s really the level of competition. We are beating teams we should beat and losing to the better teams.

Our lack of spacing is a weakness especially when our best player is Zion. He won't last in the playoffs if teams just constantly collapse on him without fear of guarding the perimeter.

3 of our "Bench" guys have been trusted into starting. It hard for the bench to execute the same way when the full team is not there.

While correct, 2 of the starters we're missing right now aren't shooters. If/when BI, Zion and Herb come back, our bench goes from no shooters to one shooter, and that one shooter (Trey) doesn't really work for his shot.

Griff loves complicated trades with lots of players involved. I wouldn't be shocked if Graham/Jax/Billy and maybe Kira were all gone in 3 1/2 weeks and replaced with more of what we need.

Wouldn't be surprised if Billy gets bought out if we can't move him.

Lets him go find a team that will have minutes for him and opens up a roster spot that we could use for the buyout market.

I do.

I'd bet the Pels straight up before I bet Memphis.

I don't. Especially if Memphis will have home court.
