Bottom line they have to get off of Graham, Temple, Kira or all 3 no matter what they do this off-season because they have no cap space.
We don’t need cap space, we have 14 players under contract and the 8th pick in the draft that will fill the 15th spot.

They are in the negative but still just over $2 million shy of the luxury tax. The #8 pick would count about $5 million on the cap so they need to move someone or sell the 2nd round picks but I’m unsure if that would count against the cap or not.
We will be around 2.5 million below the tax line after signing whoever we draft at #8. The seconds don’t have to be sold off, they can be used on guys we want to sign to 2 way contracts.
Bottom line is this year we can draft at 8 use our 2nds and be good with little to no roster turnover and stay under the tax pretty comfortably.

I say no.
In a dream world you could package Graham and a late round pick or good contracts, but this isn't a dream world so you can write that off. Every team in the league would want Hart on their team, he's just that kind of player. BUT, #8 could potentially fill the biggest need this team has, Josh doesn't. I really wanted his 3 point shot to go to another level last year and it didn't and at this point I don't think it will. We know how many good things Josh brings to the table, so many, just not three point shooting. That being said, if we did trade #8 for him, I certainly wouldn't cry about it.

Just playing devils advocate, because with this roster, I say no as well. I'd rather swing for the fences.
But, if you're picking 8th, no matter what year it is, and you're told that this guy will be as good as Josh Hart is, do you turn that down? I'd say 9 out of 10 times the team is going to take that guy. It's not like the 8th spot guarantees you even a decent player. At #8, you really should pray that you get a guy like Hart.

Which is why there's basically zero chance we trade this pick for a vet. We need that rookie salary.
