How about another former NBA PG and NOLA native.... Robert Pack.

His name was floated for the Clipper job. He has spent time coaching with us, LAC, and currently with OKC. I don't know what his coaching philosophy is, but he has worked with CP3, Westbrook, Durant etc. All the coaches has worked with sings his praises and say he will be a NBA coach one day. Not sure we want to start over with a rookie coach, though

Pack was a tough nosed player. I'm not sure about another green head coach.

What y'all think about Lawrence Frank?

I really know nothing about Robert Pack, but if he has the goods, bring him in.

Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Gregg Popovich, Red Auerbach, etc. were all rookie head coaches at one point. Point being, the NBA's best coach of all-time could be an assistant right now for all we know.

I wanted Avery Peterson before Monty so I'll take him now for sure.It just seems like Monty can't stand players that can score. If everyone is so dam focused on playing D which is a good thing you have got to reward them but letting them score.I really believe if Monty could get away with just leaving everyone on the defenseive side of the court and never cross half court he would...

Holis or Karl would be fine.

I am ok with a rookie head coach to grow with the team.

Basically I want MW gone. at least that will give me hope...

The NBA certainly is a sanctuary for retreads.
Maybe Dell Harris or Gene Shue.

I'll take the walrus, Jeff Bower, back at this fricking point. Better yet, dig up John Wooden's corpse and put him in the chair.

Honestly, I would call up coach K and see if he's still interested in trying his hand at the pros. Hopefully the idea of having Anthony Davis would be enough to persuade him hahaha.

Realistically though, George Karl or Gregg Marshall.

Adelman and Hollins are obvious choices.

I'm thinking Stan Van Gundy, too, since he had a good idea of how to use Dwight Howard in Orlando.

The limitations of hiring him, though, are that his offense requires a lot of outside shooters and, when those guys' shots don't fall right, they look putrid.

Not sure why people who dislike Monty Williams would want Lionel Hollins

1. Phil Jackson (not happening though)
2. Coach K (again not happening)
3. George Karl

I bet we end up getting another young assistant for a head coach though. The last time Benson hired a big name was Ditka and looked at how that turned out.

If we hire an assistant again, we need one that knows how to run an offense as well as make adjustments.
