Believe it or not, for his entire career he's been a good off the bench player.

Just don't know what's happened, he's still young in NBA years, his confidence just seems wrecked

Yeah Trey has a ways to go. I like his potential still but he’s not nba ready yet. It’s a bit disappointing

We just don’t have enough talent to overcome the ~8-10pt swing

That could be said for all of our first round picks. We pick like shite.

And for a small market team you HAVE TO nail your draft picks to have any success. This is why Griff and co need to go. They can’t draft and evaluate talent consistently enough

They've had 4 1sts...

2 of them are still too young to evaluate, and the other 2 are only in their third season, where 1 of them is at worst a 7-8th man on a good team.

So no, the picks haven't been that bad outside of Jax, people here are just expecting guys to be all stars as a rookie, and anything less means they're a bust.

They are and we’re so close… really hope we can get over the hump.

Infuriating getting to touching distance then giving up layups, second chances points, open 3s etc…big final push and we might just pull off a great win

I agree. Here’s what needs to happen

1) Sit BI and Zion for the rest of the year. JV get minimum minutes
2) Fire Griff
3) Play Murphy, Naw, Hayes, Gomez, Herb , etc
4) Trade any assets (I want to keep Hart because he’s my boo but that’s unlikely)
5) Hire a GM and let him evaluate the young guys and let’s come locked and loaded into next year

Limping into a play in game or at the tail end of the lottery is worthless.

You still want to see some kind of progression from the young guys as years go on. And really guys like Jax, NAW and Kira haven’t really improved. Tho I’ll cut Kira some slack for being his second year and getting injured early.

Kira was looking legit for 10 games or so before he got injured, he was starting to get more minutes and had taken all of Sato's minutes.

No slack needed, he legit looked like he will at worst be a 20 mpg lead guard off thr bench.
