Sooner or later BI is going to be a distraction to this team if he doesn't play. If that ends up being the case then trade him.

My whole thing is like bruh....it's sport. You are GONNA get hurt again. It's a toe. It ain't a car wreck. It ain't a kid breaking his leg on live TV. It's a toe. And they never said it was a broken toe either....they use words like "contusion". Yeah ok.

I wonder if he'd play if he stopped getting paid?

I know it'll never happen, but I wish in the new CB agreement there would be some "incentive" put in that'd tell all of these star players they'd not get paid for missing a % of games.

BI is being a giant ??

CJ, Jonas, and crew have done an admirable job treading water but they need at least one of the 2 back asap.

Naji and the bench has done their jobs filling in and giving BI adequate time to heal so it’s starting to feel like it’s time BI steps up for his team who have clearly stepped up for him.

Since most people don't waste their money subscribing to the advocate, let me summarize that article.

He's played 44% of the games the past two seasons. Other players with The more severe variety of the same injury Ingram has have missed only 17 games before returning to the floor (Bane from Grizz). Ingram with a lesser variety has already missed 24 games with the same injury. Unbelievable.

It sucks, but they're still being cautious with Bane as well on minutes.

Pre-Injury: ~33.5MPG
Post-Injury: ~27.5MPG

As long as we're on the current pace, play-off bound, beating sub 500 teams...its going to be okay. Start losing and he still sits out and we're losing our seeding, that'll be a problem.

The amount of caution with all NBA players is sad. I'm for player safety and yes it's an 82 game marathon but damn.... sometimes you have to play through injury. Paid zillions to sit and watch while Jose plays with a damn near pneumothorax

There are incentives in Zions contract. BIs next deal will probably include those as I believe the next CBA will take rest/load management/injury prevention into consideration.

At the end of the day it’s a product for fans to consume, the best players have to be out there.

Sorry - didn't realize it blocked folks from reading.

To add on to what you said the article also strongly suggested that the Pelican staff and some players are not all "everything's o.k. and we're good with it".

I totally agree. I can't get on Toni now like I used to because we have a guy who since he's been with us had been pretty much the same.

I've made the analogy before but as a Cub fan, BI reminds me of Kris Bryant. He will not be effective, at least in his own mind, until he's 100% healthy. IMHO, if you wait for that you are going to miss almost all games.
