Give Zion one more year next year and then see where you’re at trade wise or buy in wise.

Then you are not addressing the real problem.

The Murray trade was a massive disaster, especially with his injury. Another short sighted win now move that will cost us dearly. Doing that trade without a BI one in your pocket was one of the worst moves we’ve made.

However, given Dysons comments he clearly didn’t like it here so…

im still listening to offers this summer for him. If it’s a solid deal, you pull the trigger. We’ve been saying the same thing for 2+ years with Zion with the same outcome of an uncertain path. If there’s a good deal, make the move.

100% Zion is no longer who I build all my hopes on but I’m not expecting a good enough offer to be worth giving up on Zion. If there is one I definitely take it.

I want Zion out of the locker room at all costs. He's an extremely talented loser who is dragging the team down around him. You absolutely cannot build a winning culture around a guy who lacks the most basic tenets of professionalism..

That is delusional levels of hope. Herb will never be a #3. And a Zion-Herb-Missi core will never work in today’s game. You can’t get enough spacing from Trey and whatever draft pick.

Missi can’t play 30+ minutes a game sure. But center by committee with big and small lineups always makes sense. We have potential seven foot center who can play with our guys which is big. We definitely need more shooting.

And I’m not sure how delusional it is. I’ve given up hope on a championship. If we hit in the draft the next few years we can have a solid team.

Dyson didn't like that the team catered to Zion's laziness.

Don't even care. For every post I make about Zion being the problem, you and Shelley make 6 glossing over it to blame BI.

Sorry you don't get to maintain your low IQ echo chamber.

Dysons is a nba level player but offensively is still pretty bad. Can’t shoot and can’t make free throws. I’m not losing sleep over trading him

Lol I have talked about BI maybe 2 times this season. He hasn’t played, there’s nothing to even say about him except the deadline is approaching and he’s not under contract next season.

Agreed on Herb, Trey, Missi as a core.

Zion and Murray have to stay because you could get squat for them right about now due to injuries.

BI has to go.

CJ could go for the right return, as we need guard depth if BI is leaving and Murray is likely out the rest of this season and much of next season.

Hawkins? I would consider flipping him for the right return now but I’d rather hold off until the offseason at a minimum.

I figure we can get an idea of how he is developing and maybe build some value for him if we decide to flip him in the offseason.

My main focuses on this point are getting under the tax and otherwise working on our depth which is shot to shite at the moment due to the injury bug.

Not that we need to win a ton of games this year but we need players to start next season and having chemistry with an existing lineup would help us next year so we don’t start the season already fricked.

Dyson is less than Herb on defense and offense right now but could mature into a player that good.

Given who we already had and what Murray represented for us as an acquisition, I don’t want to Monday morning quarterback on it. It was a risk we had to take and we just got horribly bad luck with him.

It isn’t like he had a major history of existing injuries or the Hawks concealed issues with his medicals like the Sixers did with Jrue.

Tried to warn yall on here when the trade went down. Nobody wanted to hear it.

And yes he is offensively challenged, but I’ve been saying, when you are already elite on one side of the ball, I’d rather go the distance and put everything in developing the other side and hope it works out.

Griff is very much like Loomis and has no long term vision. It’s been bad since day one when he made the Adams trade.

He’s also 5-6 years older. Dyson is currently on pace to have a top ten season all time in steals. I’d be shocked if he’s not replacing Herb this year on the all defensive team….

We are potentially adding a top five pick to that core plus hoping Zion pulls his head out of his arse.

Zion, Trey, and a high pick from this year is a pretty good core.
