I think Brass is by far the best name. It could easily be black and gold. We could follow the city color scheme like they do in Seattle and Pitt.
That would be awesome to have a consistent color scheme. I think it would actually benefit the hornets by having colors similar to the saints. At least that way when people wear Saints gear to the Hornets games (why they do this is a mystery to me) but it will be aesthetically pleasing to the eyes watching at home.

If a hockey team could be named the "Devils," i don't see "Sinners" being too big of a problem.
i also think the Hurricanes would be a good choice, although i seriously doubt any kind of name change would ever happen.

New Orleans Krewe sounds the best IMO... You got to think that if they changed the name to something like that it would generate more of an immediate fanbase, right?

I'm continuing my campaign to get the name changed to the only name that truly says "awesomeness." That name is of course
The New Orleans Andouille
This gives us a lot of options to add awesome features to our game day experience.
Can you imagine how awesome it'll be to replace that lame arse Hugo with a mascot dressed up as a giant Andouille? His name could be "Big Meat"!
You know you'll get goose bumps the first time somebody on our team makes a great play embarrassing the other team and the crowd in unison yells "SAUSAGE!!"
Finally, think how much it will kick arse when we unveil our new team slogan: "The New Orleans Andouille: Nobody beats our meat"
This, my friends, is what we call gold. No other team name offers such a wonderful combination of local identity that draws in the whole state and provides such great novelty. I rest my case.
