It's a good asset, not a very good asset. If that pick is the difference between getting Tatum or Brown and Boston digs their heels into the sand, then they can keep Brown and the pick and give me Tatum.

More Per ESPN’s Zach Lowe, the #Bulls are willing to trade Zach LaVine to the #Pelicans as a part of an Anthony Davis trade, in exchange for the 4th pick (and maybe more) from the #Lakers.

Is Zach LaVine not better than the 4th pick?

LaVine is making $20m a season for 3 seasons on middling production.

I’d trade Hill for him. Not the 4th pick.

Yeah, the #4 for Lavine is a severe overpay. Tell them to get back to us when Markannen and Carter can be discussed.

middling production.

He had a career year last year. 23PPG, shot 37% from 3 on high volume. Assists were way too low for a PG. But he is a good player.

He is a ball hog on a bad team.

I don't think he'd be able to get away with that with Jrue and Zion though.

His assists were awful. 4.5 a game for a PG isn't close to good enough.

But I do give talented players a slight pass when playing with a really bad team.

He wouldn't be able to get away with that here, and I don't think he's the level of player Griff is looking for, but I do understand the interest. He's better than some peeps are giving him credit for.

He is what the league refers to as a "losing player"

Per Basketball Reference, LaVine didn’t play any minutes at the point.

43% at the 2, 55% at the 3, 2% at the 4

Don't think Silver will allow that. I think at the earliest tomorrow afternoon.

Seems to me that if people are talking about the nba all day (ad trade), then they are more likely to go ahead and watch game 6 tonight.

Interesting. I know he's played it in the past. Guess the Bulls had Dunn at PG?

I honestly have no idea. I watched zero Bulls last year.

Point was handled by a combination of Dunn, Arcidiacono, Shaq Harrison, Cameron Payne, and Walt Lemon.

LaVine is nominally listed as a combo guard but they have been using him as a wing instead.

He's a combo, more than a PG. He played next to Dunn last season who averaged 6 apg.

I don’t think the talks have progressed far enough for a trade to happen today. We will probably get a random team mentioned today like Portland or Minnesota as a facilitator for a 3 way trade.
