Lebron will want him traded by January because he will see how mentally and physically soft he is after he leaves the game early for the 17th time that season. Then he will go elsewhere in the summer.

That market is ruthless.
AD voiced passive aggressiveness at our markets annoyance with his boo-boo’s, and we have like three reporters at best.
The first couple times AD leaves a game because of a boo-boo I think is going to be interesting. Especially if the team isn’t dominating the standings. If they are, I think they will accept it for a while.

Add to the sports reporters the presence of a hundred TMZ type outfits. The cameras will smother that snowflake.

RP insists that AD is going to be a free agent in 2020 no matter what, but that he wanted to sign in LA.
So an extension is irrelevant.
Paul is keeping that Knicks option open until the Knicks close it with big ticket signings.

Even Klutch would have a vested interest in protecting Davis over Lebron logically because of the age difference, but LBJ’s ego knows no bounds.
That assumes Rich Paul is anything more than LeBron’s puppet. I don’t know for certain but I suspect he may just be.

Paul was selling bootleg memorabilia before Lebron made him his agent.

The problem is that they just blew a ton of resources on him. If he doesn’t deliver, fans will start blaming him for the Lakers underachieving.
If we can get Ingram and Ball to improve a lot this year that will only stoke those fires even more.

That is more likely than you would think. Russell and Randle both made a jump once they left LA and it wasn’t all because they got one year older.
At least part of it may have been that Walton and his staff didn’t know how to use them properly and disguise their issues.

The football teams are brand new. Lakers and Dodgers always pack the house

I can’t wait for the inevitable “lakers need to get AD some help” thinkpieces
going to be glorious

If AD doesn’t stay in LA It will sure make Space Jam 2 awkward.

Hopefully while the “not enough help” guys like Jrue and Niko are paying off here.

I'm fully of the mindset that the main reason AD didn't want to go to Boston is because he was afraid of being considered THE guy in that market. At LA, he can slot in behind LeBron. And get the crowd on his side by letting LeBron be the brunt of things...
But he doesn't get that if the Lakers aren't worldbeaters, they will blame Pelinka, and they'll blame AD.

yes there will be pressure on Lebron to prove this was the right move, and the move was so aggressive and loud that expectations will be nuclear. Davis will be insulated from that for the most part
this is how lebrons story is going to end, either with a bang or a whimper
