find a kawhi leonard.
find a chris paul

I think that'd put us on par with the top 3 teams from the west.

You almost have to have a "big three" to reach the Finals unless you had Lebron or you were the Mavs a few years back.

Lebron/Kyrie/Love
Curry/Thompson/Green
Lebron/Wade/Bosh
Duncan/Parker/Ginobili

Davis/??/??

Unfortunately I don't think Holiday makes up one of a "big three". Maybe Hield in a few years if he learns to play defense. Getting a guy like Hayward or Jimmy Butler would be a huge first step (and a pipe dream).

Hield would have to be an all star and a really big name would get traded here for holiday and our first.

For sure. We aren't going anywhere with a part time President, Stupid GM, and a Vegetable of an owner.

In my mind:

1.) Hope the new CBA is such that AD will not want to leave that much money on the table and he isn't confrontational enough to force a messy trade.

2.) Draft and pray. No big name FA's/major trades are coming here with the assets we have and the situation we are in. A good draft pick could give us the ammo we need in a blockbuster deal or be that long-term piece. Plus, we need cheaper, quality role players instead of this rotation of journeymen that come in and out every season which requires overpays to keep long-term,

3.) Upgrade lead decision-makers from coach on up. And along with that, invest major money into improving the internal operations. Minny incorporated the Mayo clinic to help improve their medical infrastructure. There is no reason we shouldn't look to do something similar here. Or in some other way.

Will Benson be patient enough for number 2?

Stubhub is probably their best bet. Scalpers would be a last resort.

Honestly, I think I'll be fine with watching team progression.

Although I think jrue is great, he isn't a pg I want running the show. Neither is tyreke, but if you're needing a bench spark I think tyreke is better. Jrue is just too passive on offense.

Trade jrue for Rubio and hope his ast% and shooting improve by running pnr with AD, hope hill becomes a 12/5/2 38% 3pt shooter, Hield becomes a 45/40/90 shooter who averages 16/4/3, AD to stay healthy and as efficient, and Dmo to be that do it all big you need while averaging 10/7/4. Keeping tyreke as a 12/4/4 bench bull would be legit, just like we envisioned from the start.

Trade Moore, asik, and ajinca to possibly get a young guy who may be a diamond in the rough.

Draft whoever is coming out and could be a 2nd fiddle to ad in a few years.

A time machine

Then

Pick 1.10 in 2012 draft, select Draymond Green

In 2013, don't trade for Holiday, keep pick 6, draft Giannis

In 2014 pick 10 that went to philly, select Nikola Jokic

In 2015 pick 1.18 that we gave HOU for Asik, you can take a Sam Dekker

Championship!

Convince CP3 to come back. Pray Buddy gets more minutes with a new coach worth a damn. Pray for a good 3 and D wing.

And when Golden State calls you up asking for Eric Gordon in exchange for Klay Thompson... you take the deal this time

So selfie, pick smarter.
Trade smarter.

Ok.

Heres mine. Trade AD to lakers today. Get back three #1s.
So now you have 6 #1s. Choose wisely.
