That's fine, Amundson put up really good numbers and I would love to have him, but you can't put a 6-9 guy out there at C.

Gortat's better than Amundson... it's not even a debate.

a 6'9" forward put up the same numbers per 36 as a 6'11" center. pretty sure there is a debate there

Yeah, I'd say Amundson can be a fantastic backup PF or below average PF, whereas Gortat can be an average C. Gortat has more value, but I wouldn't say he's a much better player.

In terms of need, no doubt Gortat would be better.

In terms of skill, neither are world beaters. A guy like Amundson coming off the bench would be nice. We need a hustle guy like him to scrap.

GHAZI's posts have been pretty legit lately, especially on this board.

I'd like the signing. Amundson's ponytail would bring a lot of street cred with it.

A hustle/energy guy off the bench that is willing to bang would be huge. They need to snatch this guy up

That would be nice, but I wish Okafor could have his hustle/energy as our starting center.

I would completely change my outlook on the team (5-8 seed) if I knew Okafor wouldn't play like such a fricking pussy this season. To be fair, with the talent we have around him, this may be his first chance in his NBA career at having some significant success, so that could very well change his play on the court. Despite his height, he certainly has the talent if he could just improve his handle and intensity.

Amundson would be a solid pickup. I like the direction of this roster.
