They should have fired Lue the day LeBron left for the Lakers...he shouldn't even be the first assistant on an NBA coaching staff.

I would just like to point out that in recent years the whole point of a thread like this would have been “Can we fire our coach now too?” It’s nice to not be in that dark place anymore.

When Kerr took over? Not so much.
Mark Jackson may have won games while there but he did a lot of damage through infighting and other bullshite, which is partly how Erman ended up here.
Any coach taking over that team had to fix a lot of the issues and get everyone to buy into a system after the previous few years of undermining the relationships of the players and coaches.
