I would take him all day for this team, he is pass first and that's what we need.

Just saw it on espn ticker

There's so many more players I'd prefer, but realistically he'd be good.

However, we have nothing to trade them.

Moore plus a couple of seconds and QPon of Jrue straight up or Jrue for Rubio and Bjelica are possible depending on what Minnesota truly wants out of the offseason are possibilities

You can't trade the only good 3pt shooter on the team in Moore for Rubio

Cousins/Davis/Hill/Rubio is a tough core to generate offense with.

There's a reason the Wolves want to trade Rubio after the Butler trade- he's going off ball more (similar to what the Pels seem to be moving towards
w/r/t to PG w / Finch) and his value off ball is questionable at best

I like Rubio but if the pels are really going to let DC run the offense then I don't think Rubio is the right kind of guard that we need.

why would Jrue agree to a sign and trade if he could just sign with whoever he wants?

The Wolves don't have the outward cap space to sign him and right now it's the only team that would be potentially interested.

Sure they could trade Aldrich to free up space but that is easier said than done.

I'd imagine the more likely scenario is that Jrue stays here and we move Moore if anything at all for Rubio

I think it's a misconception that the entire offense will operate through Boogie a la Joker. I think there will elements or both that offense and Gentry's run and gun style in which Rubio is a solid fit

Rubio would be a good piece to have. Would be a top 5 player on the Pelicans.

Pelicans need to resign Jrue and pick up two more quality players while somehow trading Asik away.

The only one way Asik won't be on the roster is if he's stretched imo and right now if they want to operate above the cap it doesn't make a ton of sense to stretch him

Of all the names we've thrown around according to MM's sources the Pels are interested in Mills, a guy we don't discuss much. He does fit with Point Boogie.

All of this. I want to go all in on zagging while everyone else is zigging. Be ahead of the curve. Every team wants to beat GSW at their game. Like it or not, our two best players are 7 feet or close. We need to figure out how to maximize that. The primary ball handler needs to be able to make life easier. The other two guys need to be the shooters.

The problem isn't just 2 bigs, it's 2 multi-skilled high usage/scoring bigs.

If you're running spread PnR with a ball dominant PG you are not maximizing their prodigious talents. You're forcing them to fit around the PG, who is the lesser player.

And that's fine, if they want to go that way and one of the bigs is okay seeing his scoring numbers drop (a la Bosh/Love). They can be a good team that way. But that's not being ahead of the curve or zagging.

Yup.

I just think he's going to need a lot of $$ to leave the Spurs. Their hometown voodoo is strong

But maybe they try to bring George Hill back and Mills is forced to look for a new home

You can if we sign Hardaway, jr.

I think DC has to work as the piint forward. With the gap in talent between ADDC and the rest of the team the ball has to be in DC's hands.
