Without going back to edit the OP, last year it was $99 for pelicans+ or whatever, but it was paid through the nba league pass app. 90% of the time I watch on my iPad, I won’t subject my family to this team. I can always cast from the app to a tv if needed.
I think if the streaming situation hasn’t changed much since last year (nothing on youtubeTV) I’ll likely reup for the 99.

Get a cheap antenna and Tablo if you live in Louisiana. You should be able to get every game that is not nationally televised.
Antenna to pick up the signal. Tablo to stream it. Most cost effective measure by far (legally).
I have Tablo. It works great, only issue for me is here in NOLA for whatever reason TABLOs tv guide doesn't load the correct channel data for GCSEN, so can't record the games without just setting it to record mannually for whatever is on that night per the guide.. Can obviously tune in live fine.
Do you have that issue?

Any chance Gulf Coast gets picked up by YOU TUBE TV this year ?

I am in Shreveport and the guide is not the most accurate to say the least. However, I don't record games and watching live has never been an issue.
Only issues I have really dealt with are with my ISP more than anything. Antenna works great and the Tablo usually has no trouble streaming what's available as long as the internet works.

Other than Pelicans the channel is nothing but card game reruns from like 20 years ago.
Get yourself an antenna and put foil on top like in the old days.

I just still can’t cone to grips that an NBA team has to have people go buy over air antennas just to watch the team play. So pathetic.

It’s the Pels and it’s NOLA….does this really surprise you?

That $99 stream was such a waste last year. I watched 2 games and the stream was terrible, lagging and buffering the whole time, plus we sucked arse so i didnt bother with the rest

Question for DirecTV/league pass people...
My dad lives in north MS and had to get league pass last year after after the change to GCSEN. According to him, almost none of the games, even the ones in NOLA, used the Pels broadcast. Always the other team's. He gets league pass through DirecTV.
So question for y'al since I'm not really familiar with Direct or league pass is, is he doing something wrong like not going to a channel with the Pels broadcast or do they just not use the GCSEN broadcast on league pass?
Other question for antenna guys is possible recs for antennas that are good for 100-150 mile range? I believe Jackson has a local station that will be carrying the games this year and he's roughly 100 or so miles outside of Jackson.
TIA.

I had NBA league pass last year. I was able to select which team's broadcast I could watch - for all games. I think your dad didn't understand the interface.

Unless you have a VPN or pay for Pelicans+, you can't watch the Pelicans on League Pass if you're in Louisiana and parts of Mississippi and Alabama.

More than likely operator error.
It's not difficult.

I had zero issues with it. Watched more games than I ever had in a season.

That was the offseason that I realized that Gayle Benson has absolutely no business owning a pro sports franchise, much less 2. When you have to lean on Mickey Loomis for business savvy, you are proper fricked.
