if you trade Zion and CJ, this team will wind up top 6 in draft odds. Murray is gonna be out a while still.
People need to accept that CJ's defense is now so bad that, as a starter, he's a neutral player at best. On any contending team, he'd be coming off the bench.
Trading him would (without considering the return) have little impact on our record this season. If we're going to tank, then we'll keep him. The only reason to trade him would be to package him, his salary, and some picks to go get a great player and try to compete this coming season.
CJ doesn't have any significant trade value at his salary.

It's all a plot to get Zion to Detroit lmao. The Pels are so bad, if this was true, they wouldn't even notice the undercover agents lol.

CJ will win multiple games for us single handedly next year. In this shitty season, he did that 4 times, scoring 38, 43, 45, and 50.
Now did we lose b/c he went 1-15 and scored 3 points in a 50 point loss to Detroit? I'd say no, despite his horrible game. We were going to lose that game regardless.
Just last year we were 16-2 when CJ scored 25 or more.
We were 1-5 when he scored single digits.
CJ as our 3rd scorer without a doubt impacts winning for this team. Don't act like he has little to no impact on winning. He's still capable of scoring 30+ and dragging us to a victory by himself. If Zion/Murray/Trey are all playing and CJ has a bad game, I'm not blaming CJ for us losing a game. If Zion has a bad game and we lose, you can look to blame him. That's how that works in the hierarchy of stars. You don't blame role players for losses, but you can definitely look at them as the reason for victories.
And I say all of that as the person on here who first started to show, with stats, how bad of a defender CJ is.

If they trade Zion for prospects and picks (as opposed to say, straight up for Sengun or something like that), the question is "do we want to win games?"
Because if the plan is to trade Zion and reset the roster with younger, upside guys, we should just trade CJ so those young guys get some run (yes, I am aware of who our coach is).
CJ's been great for this team. Unfortunately, it was all for nothing.

League sources say New Orleans will not retain longtime NBA executives Todd Quinter and former Bulls GM Gar Forman ... key members of the ousted David Griffin's staff.
Quinter worked beside Griffin in Phoenix. Forman was a Griffin special adviser.

I had no idea Forman was even on the staff.
Are we still paying D'Antoni too?

Not sure how I feel about this since they are mostly scouts for the team and we've done a good job overall in recent years. I guess they'll continue purge everyone with close ties with Griff.

Swin gone. That's a good move. No one will ever know what she does.

Swin, from what I’ve heard was a very very mild version of Ray Donovan.
