I’ve had the surgery he’s having.
So how long did it take you to fully recover?

Pels are already lowering expectations

So Trey is out for a while, BI and Zion are good for 45 games each if we are lucky. What am I supposed to be excited about?

We Pelicans fans have developed minds like an attorneys . I’m constantly dissecting their statements and looking for hidden meanings in everything. That use of “minimum” makes me sad.

I'll be excited about all things Pels basketball until there is nothing to be excited about.

The "minimum" is kind of a bomb drop.
I was expecting 10-12 weeks to be a little on the conservative side if I was being really honest.
Now its looking like 16-20 weeks at least

"Always look at the briiiiight side of life"... (C'mon...whistle along with me...don't leave me hangin' up here all by myself !!)
This creates a great opportunity to just go ahead & throw Dyson Daniels into the deep end of the pool & tell him to learn to swim !! Plus...it gives Herb a better chance to upgrade his offensive game.
BOTH of these things need to happen if the Pels are gonna become serious contenders.

Worse case scenario we end up with a high lottery pick that we will trade down with.

BI, CJ, and Zion still needs to learn how to play and compliment each other's game while establishing the dominate go-to player between them. Maybe it'll speed up their chemistry during this period.

With addition of Borrego, there's gonna be a bit of a "learning curve" for just about everybody...early this season. I think Borrego might have wanted Zeller...just to hopefully ease this transition phase. Gotta feelin' Zeller will be a bit more "useful", than most folks think, at least during the early part of the season...since he probably knows exactly what Borrego wants...when Pels are trying to run this new offense.
