He’s had several tough shooting games in a row. Had the threes not gone in tonight, he would have been bashed equally as hard. Despite the crap people say.

This board is a never ending cycle of BI hate, then silence, then back to BI hate.

I’ll enjoy the next couple weeks or so until he has a bad game and the cycle starts over. Circle of life pels style

mean I nailed it. When he’s not taking bad mid range shots he’s great

The problem is if he misses a mid range shot you say it’s a bad shot, regardless of if it was or not. Case in point was Monday; the shots he took Monday against Dallas were pretty damn good. AD noted several times on the broadcasts he was getting good shots. He just missed half a dozen shots that for him were shocking to see him miss.

I think it’s more of a team thing. When they aren’t on a good run they start playing like they’re each a one man team every time they come down the floor. B.I. Isn’t the only one taking these bad shots early in the shite clock without passing. They had their moment tonight in the second quarter where they stopped passing. I think Willie needs to just keep them disciplined and keep them from playing hero ball.

BI took 5 shots that were in the zone just inside the three point line. He made none of them. The rest of the players from both teams basically combined for as many attempts. It is not statistically a preferable shot and does not strategically improve the offense.

BI did great by shooting 3s and helping space the floor this game. The team is much better if he is shooting 3s, passing out of drives to the basket, and concentrating his 2pt attempts in the paint area.

I'm basically of thr opinion that any non wide open mid range is a bad shot

Exactly. But he had quite a few wide open middies he missed. He also had two of those in the third quarter tonight that he missed. To say they aren’t good shots is silly. It’s also just plain ignorant to not realize how many shots he gets for guys by navigating into the mid range area. But you’re obviously not even remotely rational when it comes to BI. You’ve proven that consistently.

There isn’t Antoine else in this team that can give us a triple double.

Willy needs to recognize if BI is off early change the script

BI played exactly like many of us have been begging and guess what? It worked. 11 3PAs. That’s awesome. Why can’t he consistently put up 7-8 3s a game?

Exactly. From.my original post, "I'll give him the games where he's decisive, passing and shooting 3s he's great. But that's the minority."

Ummmm

Will be interesting to watch him v Suns. KD and Booker love the middies. Will BI try to compete with them and go back to middie ball? Its these games that are interesting where BIs ego takes over a bit. But lets see on Friday.

You're still witnessing change. For the first time in a few years Brandon Ingram is focusing more on distributing than he is scoring. Willie moving CJ to off ball has been great for everyone except Ingram because it forces him to be more of a full time pg, and it's fricking his rhythm up, and Gumbo can't do it often enough.

This team is also officially in the "needs two basketballs" range with so many good to great scorers territory. Ingram Zion and CJ don't all have to be on and we can still and have stomped teams this year.

Many on this board have to find someone on the team to hate, whether it BI or Zion (last year CJ as well).
