What Giannis has done for Milwaukee, it's pretty baffling you wouldn't agree that there is zero chance Milwaukee would send him to a team he wouldn't sign off on.

I get what you're saying, but Miami doesn't have the necessary assets to trade for Giannis, unless Bam is getting traded. Neither of the LA teams have anythign worth a shite to give them. Brooklyn just has picks and no good players.

Houston, OKC, Pels, Spurs, Magic, Hawks, Grizzlies all have young all star caliber players they can trade along with a ton of picks. Hell even the Warriors could put together a better package than the big city teams b/c they have all of their picks and Kuminga/Podz is better or at a minimum equal to anythign Miami/Brooklyn/LA would give up.
He's not going to Miami/Brooklyn/LA, you make my words on that. Well.....maybe Brooklyn if they offer a shite load of picks and the Bucks woudl rather just suck to rebuild. But that doens't make any sense b/c them sucking is good for us in the short term, not them. ANything Brooklyn can offer, the Jazz can do a ton better if the Bucks want to rebuild through the draft while also getting young talent like Hendricks, Williams, and George, and they Jazz could keep Lauri and Sexton, and they could do this and get the Bucks out of the tax completely, and the Jazz could be just under the cap for next year and could actually go use the full MLE to add to their team

Even with Dame, he didn't get his top choice, but we learned he did sign off in Milwaukee.

who wouldn't sign off to go compete for a championship with Giannis?

No one wanted to give up a kings ransom for an aging $50-60/yr Lillard for the next 3 years, and Miami yet again didn't have shite to offer compared to others. Giannis will fetch more than what AD went for, which was a lot. We didn't cave into dealing him to the Lakers. We got an awesome return for him from the Lakers.

I...STILL...like Brandon Miller.

Not sure WHY... I felt the urge to say that...just wanted to do so.

What if he DM'd you tomorrow and said "I like you too"?

Would you still like him just as a player, or as something more?

Do you still hate Brandon Ingram, though?

Don't "hate" BI. Seems like a nice enough fella. I just don't like his game on a roster that features Zion as your star player...and yes...Zion is "the star"...until the Pels decide otherwise.

I expect (& hope) the Pels move BI in the near future...but who knows. Maybe they will keep BOTH BI and Zion...not something I'm particularly fond of doing.

What if you realize that Zion isn't a star you can rely on? Then what? You just keep churning through top 30 players until you find the one that both fits next to Zion and can carry the team for the 35 games a year Zion misses?

BI isn't a fit issue, Zion is.

One at a time...BI needs to go 1st...then...you give Zion a shot with the "right" lineup around him. If Zion can't develope into that "star" we all want him to be...you trade him. I think Zion STILL has a very solid "trade value"...unlike BI...who is pretty much worthless. Just don't wait around TOO long...or Zion could end up as worthless...as BI.

stars don't take 6 years to become a star, regardless of what roster they play with.

Rest assured...I'm not very optimistic of Zion developing into a true "star"...but I've COMPLETELY given up on BI...as has apparently every other team in the NBA. So...you totally turn over the keys to Zion...put 4 shooters around him...and see what happens. Doesn't work?...you move his azz...while he still has value...DON"T WAIT AROUND TIL HE'S AS WORTHLESS ON THE MARKET AS BI IS !!

I think the way he’s played his value has substantially increased. Whether Griff will trade him or not is a different question.

He's had star numbers since his first game in the NBA and that has never waivered.

He does not have a star mentality and doesn't seem like he lives basketball and wants to be the best.

He didn't make a pitch for the Olympics or me tion any interest in playing, he has never been seen playing pick up in the off season, he does not hang with teammates, ect.

His numbers however are historically good so let's not go there bro.

Then you still don't give BI a 3rd contract max.

I've been on the fence about trade BI vs re-sign BI in that I don't think there is a clear answer on what makes us more competitive. But if he hasn't signed a new deal by the ASB and we're toiling in play-in territory by the week of the deadline, we need to trade BI and soft-launch the rebuild that will likely see us also trade Zion either this offseason or at the 2026 deadline.

I think you let it play out till the deadline. It depends on several things too. How hes playing, team playing, team health and Zion’s availability and play. I honestly think I agree with you this team might be headed towards a minireset. Unless BI leads this team to a playoff series win - I can’t see them resigning him and its not his fault- hes played fantastic this season. Zion really has to play himself into serious MVP talk, otherwise I think he may be gone this summer too.

ESPN ranked BI 27 just a season ago.

And there is nothing between that and letting him walk?

But I guess here’s my question do you think the way hes playing him or his agent will ask for anything less than a max?

If BI keeps this level of play, someone might offer him a max. 24 pts 5 ast 6 reb a game, actually shooting 3s and has been easily our best player so far. 6’9 forwards who can can dribble and shoot like guards get paid. I hope Griff can figure out a way to make it work.

Fire Willie first, get DJM and Trey back in a month. Then see how we do.

Don't forget David Griffin. Your child will do what you allow him to do.
