144 minutes
You got Herb/Ingram/Naji/Zion/Trey/Val/Nance getting either some or all minutes at the 5.
I don't think you can find enough minutes for Collins to justify a $25mil salary.

The Lakers, Jazz and Timberwolves are in discussions on a three-team deal that would send D’Angelo Russell to the Lakers, Russell Westbrook and draft compensation such as a first-round pick to Utah and Mike Conley Jr. to Minnesota, sources tell me and @Tjonesonthenba.

Wow.
Russell is playing well lately but not sure if he fits in with this LAL team.
Edit - DeAngelo, not Westbrick.

Their new owners are having trouble coming up with the money to buy the team, maybe they can’t pay all those salaries

This certainly reads like a deal that is going to get done. Very interesting.

I think Conley fits that team better.

Anyone else find it hilarious that Russell ends up back in LA?
He was hated by the entire locker room by the time he was sent to the Nets.

Ongoing discussions have included Utah's Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt as part of the potential three-team deal to the Lakers, sources tell me and @tony. Sides are working through pick protections and additional draft compensation too, per sources.
frick this makes Lakers way better

I think Conley will be a good add for Minny. It’s the DLo add to the Lakers that I think is terrible, regardless of his current percentages. And the Lakers losing Russ off the bench is certainly not nothing.

Why are teams helping out the lakers? Vanderbilt and Beasley aren’t slouches either
Posted on 2/8/23 at 2:55 pm to PELsu
No way lakers get Vanderbilt, DLo, and Beasley for a first
Posted on 2/8/23 at 2:55 pm to duyp
I hope the Lakers just get Russell.
Posted on 2/8/23 at 2:55 pm to Soggymoss
Yeah, Vanderbilt is a big upgrade over Wenyen Gabriel. Hopefully Beasley continues to slump from 3, and I agree with others that DLo seems like he'll be less helpful than Russ as 6th man.
Posted on 2/8/23 at 2:56 pm to duyp
Utah is likely getting both LAL picks out of this along with dumping long term salary to clear their books.
Posted on 2/8/23 at 2:56 pm to duyp
Beasley doesn’t scare me in relation to what they have, but Vanderbilt is a winning player for sure IMO.

You would think of all teams not to help Lakers, it would be Minnesota and Utah as they’re all fighting for the play in

Because he ratted out Nick Young. No Lakers still around from that squad.

Utah's goal is collect assets, not make the play in.
