Yeah, went get MUCH value in return, the hope is a team sees the potential there and believes they can get him to stop shooting so much and play to his strengths.

I don't think that will happen here simply because he sees how well Ingram and Redick are shooting it, and he wants to try to prove he can be/do the same

Is Covington that much better than Kenrich? i'm a big Covington fan, but i think Covington would just be a role player here, and Kenrich is playing that role well right now. We aren't starting Zion at the 5 either. We need a big body 5 that can play when we play the big 5's in the league. Zion needs to be able to grab rebounds and go, or let others grab them and get out quickly. I don't want him worrying about blocking out Jokic. Favors is perfect for that role.

I don't think we need a starting PG, or should i say, i do'nt think we can get a quality starting PG outside of maybe Jeff Teague, who i don't really consider a PG. Ingram and Jrue are our PG's, and i expect Zion to handle to ball as well. A simple Lonzo/Moore for Teague would make me happy.

I think the Pistons or the Magic are the team to trade with. Would love to get Griffin.

Would also love to get pretty much anyone from Orlando. Isaac would be #1, then Gordon, then Fournier, and any deal should include Augustine. Isaac has been a defensive force down low, and he's starting to put some offense together too. Vucevic has 4 years left, Gordon has 2, Isaac has 2, and they have Mo Bamba. Someone has to go, although Bamba has been their worst big, even though it's only his 2nd year. My guess would be Gordon is the guy they'd like to move.

My ideal trade would be Isaac/Augustine for Lonzo/Okafor/Frank, and we might have to throw a pick at them too, maybe ours or the Lakers 2021 first. I think Isaac is that good, and having him and Jaxson would be awesome at the 5.

And here's a reminder on Lonzo's trade value, even though i do think it's pretty down.
Fultz was traded for Jonathon Simmons, a Thunder 1st and a Cavs 2nd.

That's why I would prefer Covington.

With Jrue Ingram and Zion, we need the Kenrich/Covington/Favors/Redick/Hart role players around them.

The only issue I COULD see with Isaac, is he's still young also and wants his role to improve more. That's how we end up with another situation like we're in with Ball where he will just start jacking up shots trying to get his rather than being happy in his role laid out.

The Covington trade idea is interesting, but I'm more intrigued by the idea of simply starting Ingram at SG. When Zion gets back, we could simply start:

Jrue, Ingram, Kenrich, Zion, Favors

Could we be successful starting such a big lineup? I think we could. Kenrich has basically only played PF this year, but he was exclusively a SF last year.

How about you just keep letting Lonzo improve

If we really want to tank, this is what we'll do, because this is tanking par excellence.

Well, I was really thinking about continuing to start Jaxson Hayes. Stats suggest that Hayes is now a league-average center, with above-average rim protection and OREB skills. And he's getting better all the time. I was simply envisioning a scenario where Favors is traded and Zion plays 12-15 minutes a game at center. But I keep forgetting that Zion is going to have restricted minutes for a while, so that plan wouldn't work well anytime soon.

I know Jaxson is doing well, and i want him to keep playing, but we will always need a big body 5 for matchup purposes.
And i do want Zion playing the 5 at times, and when that happens, having a guy like Covington to play the 4 would be perfect, b/c he is the prototypical small ball 4 as far as size and quickness goes, and is better at that role than Kenrich is. I think Kenrich is a SF all the way, as is Ingram. You could put Covington on AD and get away with it. Kenrich could not handle AD at all. Jrue did better on him.

[Read as in Jake from State Farm commercial] "Well, AD is really a center, so … " I'm sorry -- I can't help it. But I take your point. Thanks.

I know AD is a center, but the Lakers are playing him with a 5 at all times so opposing teams 4's are having to gaurd him.
Point remains that Kenrich is too small to play the bigger 4's in the league.

What’s your take on the Kings potentially trading Fox for Lonzo and favors?
Why stop at Fox, let's dangle Lonzo/Favors for Giannis!!!

If Bucks are game for the trade, I hope the trade happens and is finalized before Wednesday.

If not, it will be a hard game to watch on national TV.

inserting word "simply", or "just" (in this context) does not confer ease or bestow a special case.

After today's terrible performances by Lonzo and Favors, I'd like to re-up this suggestion. I want to get rid of them so bad. I think that Hayes is as good Favors right now. I want to start Hayes and let him keep getting better by playing starter minutes.

I'm not normally one to make emotional crap posts, but I'm pissed today, because I had allowed myself the hope that getting Favors back was really going to help the team, when the fact is that, of the 10 games that he's actually played in this year, he's played like shite in seven of them. And we're giving this guy $17 million and gave Utah a pick to get him.
