I think this is a mistake. Selling low. Monty doesn't seem to like him though.

whoever mentioned an eric gordon for ben gordon trade on here is idiotic. that makes no long-term sense at all. i get getting rid of e.g. but for a guy who hasn't done much in FOREVER. c'mon.

ironic

...what about E. Gordon for B. Gordon and Bismack Biyombo?

does that even work? do y'all have any interest in Biyombo?

I ask because of the article earlier:

quote:

The Bobcats are also shopping the ending contract of Ben Gordon and there has been talk that they would toss in Bismack Biyombo for the right kind of upgrade, although that might not be much of an inducement.

I'm not saying I'm for trading Rivers, but why would this be such a big deal?

It's not huge deal, but we know what roberts is and he's mediocre. He's replaceable. Let's see how Rivers can develop. Monty's supposed to be a defense guy too.

Bismack is a reserve/backup center. His sole purpose is to block shots. Worse than Josh Smith at FT shooting.

Also, I'm sure it's been discussed a million times before, but Josh Smith for EG swap? I say no because I hate bad FT shooters, but he is certainly more productive than Aminu on both ends of the floor.

However, I'd take Biyombo's $3.5M contract + the rest of Ben Gordon's $13M for EG to clear space.

admittedly, I don't watch much of the Bobcats...but looking at the numbers, it looks like he's pretty damn solid at rebounding and shot-blocking, and showing improvements.

...everyone keeps saying we need a Center that can give us 20 MPG for rebounding/blocking...he seems to fit that profile.

He was the 7th overall pick, is a guy that everyone knew was a project and is only 21 years old....his contract is 3.5M for this season followed by a Team Option.

meh...who cares? 59% on 1.5 attempts per game.

...I don't know much about the guy, just thought it was interesting that the article mentioned that...He could be our best C for the rest of this season, and the team could take a look at him.

He is a good rebounder too, but specializes in blocks. I like the guy honestly, but I don't think he's what we're looking for. But like I said, I'd take him if it means dumping EG.

He's nowhere nearly as good at blocking shots or rebounding to be worth trade..he's no Ben Wallace. He's a black hole offensively. That's just not conducive to winning basketball.
