Maybe the lottery is kind again

Season over before it started.
Griff had AD to trade and the #1 pick and put together what looks like the WORST team in NOLA history.

I was thinking the same. Charolette Bobcats won only seven games in 2012, I think we May break that record . Besides BI and Val we need a complete roster reset including Fat Albert but the first that needs to go is that lying sack of shite GM

This really isn't a strong draft. All the best prospects are raw with high upside. Plus they are primarily front court players. Which doesn't fit our needs, unless we move Ingram and Val too. They probably don't want to be here through a rebuild anyway..

It's too early to say that, almost every season guys show out and leapfrog their pre-season draft stock, other guys tank it.
Josh Giddy, Scottie Barnes, Chris Duarte, Ja Morant, DeAndre Hunter all took in-season leaps. While guys like RJ Hampton, Nassir Little, Romeo Langford, and Quentin Grimes were projected near top 5 by SI and ESPN going into their respective seasons and tanked their value that year, and it looks like for good reason.

No doubt, some will rise a d others fall. Just talking about the current projections. It's all PFs and Cs. I only saw two PGs in the mocks I looked at and they were late..

For fricks sake, does anyone in here know the difference between worse and worst?

Now, to the point that OP was trying to make:
This is dumb hot take to make when we are missing 2 All-Stars to injury.

How about really calling it what it is. They SUCK - Period.

Philly beat the bulls last night without two all stars.
The night before they beat the blazers without 3 all stars.
Stop making excuses.

Take the 2 best players off of any team in the league and tell me how they perform:
Lakers without Lebron and AD are hot garbage
Nets without KD and Irving? Trash
Bucks without Giannis and Jrue? arse
Suns without CP3 and Booker? Doodoo
Jazz without Mitchell and Gobert? Poop
I can keep going, but it's pointless. You're a prisoner of the moment. The biggest issue with our current roster is that Zion is fat and lazy. This roster was built around his strengths. He is the cornerstone of our Z-chart. We brought in a PG who is more of a shooter than creater because the offense is supposed to flow through Zion.

Are you saying that them missing 2 allstars and a meaningful rookie is not a valid excuse to be losing games? Surely you aren’t saying that.

What record gets Griff fired?
Posted on 11/4/21 at 8:43 am to TeddyPadillac
We aren’t good but I’m not even sure this will be the worst start in the last 3 seasons. Just two seasons ago we started 6-22 and lost 13 straight games. This organization, under Grif, is capable of some dumpster fires.

Lakers: Lebron and AD make 76 million combined, 118 million with Westbrook, cap restraints force a team like the Lakers building through FA into being top heavy.
Nets with Harden: still solid once Harden gets his feet.
Bucks: Would still have Khris Middleton, would win more than 1 game
Suns: Booker and CP3 make 60 million combined, again limits the room to build.
Jazz: Top two players, 63 million combined, but a team of Conley, Ingles, Bojan, Clarkson, Gay, Whiteside would win more than 1 game.
Pels: top two players salary? 39 million combined. Top three players? 55 million
The Pels simply do not have the excuses to have such poor depth and lack of additional talent. We should be awash in depth and talent, no excuse to not be the deepest team in the league other than sheer mismanagement of the roster past our top three or four players.

I'm just not a fan of excuses. Every year we make excuses as to why we don't win more. Every team deals with injuries, some more than others, but every team does it. The Sixers had a stretch last year where Embiid missed 11 straight games, costing him the MVP probably, and they won 8 of those 11. The Warriors played without their all star last year, and Steph and Draymond each missed 9 games, and they still finished well over .500 with a bunch of scrubs and young players playing with Steph and mister triple single.
no i don't expect them to win without BI and Zion often, but it's not impossible, and many of other teams have proven it's not that hard to do.
We just suck. plain and simple.

well said.

When you throw in what the team had to work with, there simply is no excuse for the lack of depth and talent past our top three.
And the only explanation if you are honest with the question is that Griff and the organization mismanaged the rebuild horrendously. Year after year.
And I very much worry that his hot seat is going to lead to some really crippling save-my-arse shite at the trade deadline. Because everything about this season screams low key tank and develop, EXCEPT, accepting that almost assuredly puts the final the axe in Griff's coffin.
