If there is only one thing that gets me excited about the upcoming season, it’s your posts.

You complete me.

"We didn't really want Lowry, CP3, Mike Conley, Lonzo, or Dinwiddie anyway. And Zion isn't going anywhere. He wouldn't turn down a $200mil rookie extension..." - Pelicans Talk.

What I find pretty interesting is that outside of our small fanbase/our bloggers, it's pretty uniform across the league, national media, and all other fans that our team, front office and players are failing. The fans here and on twitter, along with the bloggers, are massive sunshine pumpers who believe giving up a 1st in a S&T for an 8th man is a god tier move, while the rest of the league views it like it is......not even remotely moving the needle and just continued failure

Baron is too good for this place. I won’t even be upset when the media starts up with the “Baron’s family wants him posting on the New York Knicks’ Message Boards” articles.

I wouldn't call it a rollercoaster. For me, the Bledsoe/Adams trade brought me up to a pretty high peak of Pels excitement, that carried over to draft night. After getting Trey, I was still excited, thought I had hoped the pick would be used to get a Brogdon type. The excitement sustained all the way till Monday, where I actually stayed late at work so that I could be near a computer when FA started at 5:00. After the shite Lonzo haul and each subsequent day, I liken it to a steep decline that went from simply falling down a mountain to being buried in the Mariana trench. Then, I get to hear all these sunshine pumpers here try to convince the board that missing out on every single FA that we threw money at will help us out in the long run. I have never had so much excitement sapped so quickly before.

It is as if Griff is actively trying to do this to Pels fandom.

I know this is your attempt at humor but you can attribute that thought to me. I didn't want any of those players at the rumored price and I don't think it likely at all that Zion doesn't sign his extension. I am excited about where we are at this point. Assuming Willie is an avg or above coach (we all can only guess at this point) and we aren't decimated by injury, we will be a playoff team.

Counting on a Pels team to not be decimated by injury is pure fantasy
