Would you rather Joe Dumars, Willie Green, an average starter, a bench player, and two mid to late first round picks?

Yes, I want Zion gone 2 years ago. He is the albatross around this organization's neck. You can't be led by a loser and expect to win.

Yep. I disagree completely. Having dumars in control of a full rebuild, because that is what trading Zion means, makes me sick. It wouldn’t just be trading Zion, it’s trading Herb and Trey as well. I’m rolling the dice with Zion, especially after the way he played this year. That gives me a chance. Dumars leading a complete tear down gives me hell.

Your timeline changes with a Zion trade, both of those guys are on 2nd contracts, with Herb inching closer to a 3rd contract

When you think of how much salary gets thrown around in professional sports' front offices, it's just defeating. Can you even fathom how much $$$ will go to Joe Dumars to come in here and absolutely bottom the frick out of this franchise? And literally EVERYBODY IN THE frickING WORLD knows it. But somehow not Gayle. Not Loomis. Not Lauscha. Has there ever been a more definitive, known situation where a pro sports team fired an ineffective GM and then hires a much, much shittier candidate as this? We're all watching a car crash in slow motion. But somehow the Pels front office is excited about this?!

It’s a real kick in the arse for sure.

I assume you are just trolling.

None of that is why people are bitching.

People are laughing that THAT is a reason to hire someone like Dumars that hasn't been a full time team exec in over a decade

It's amazing that we'll potentially look back in 10 years and say that Dell Demps was the best executive of the Pelicans era.

That doesn't necessarily mean you must trade Herb and Trey just because you trade Zion. Herb can sign an extension next year and Trey still has 4 more seasons guaranteed.

bunchie, nowhere has it been said that a reason they hired dumars was him hoping to connect with zion. complete disingenuous response.

You think that the Pels didn't ask Joe what he would do with Zion?

Seriously chad?

If he hasn't fired Willie Green by breakfast, people should be bitching.

If we get stuck with Joe Dumars, Willie Green, and Zion Williamson next year, there is a very good chance I don't watch a single game.
Oh no!

So are you expecting to get a legitimate number one option for Zion? If we don’t get Flagg, a team led by Herb and Trey guarantees you picking around 7th or 85th every year. If we trade Zion we have to trade Herb and Trey to get the assets needed for a complete rebuild. But remember, we have Joe D leading it!

I hope they believe that, because we need some team to go full retard.
Detroit does not have anything to offer.

We'd get something decent for Zion. Not necessarily an all-star, but someone good. The biggest question mark going forward outside of Zion is Murray's health. If he can come back and be his old self, you potentially have a good group of Murray, Trey, Herb, & Missi. You build around Trey. He showed this season he can be a star when given the minutes.

I disagree. That is an expensive 10-12 seed in the west.

Griff's piano sonatas didn't work. Maybe Joe can seduce him with a trumpet & some firewater.
