There are only about 13 special players in the league - Zion is one of them.

You can't trade him for an unknown.

Jokic
Embiid
Antetokounmpo
Doncic
Durant
Curry
Booker
James
Tatum
Zion
Davis
Leonard
Morant

I think Wembanyama is also one and Scoot could be.

Go get Scoot with as many picks as it takes.

Y’all need to stop with the assumption a bunch of picks is going to get a top 3 pick. It’s either Ingram or Zion

I’d take out Morant. I dont think he’s that special. Ant Edwards is just as good as him.

Some people might argue SGA but I’m fine leaving him out too.

Keep Zion, get Scoot, force Zion to be best friends with Scoot, we will dominate the league for years.

Then trade Ingram.

He's good but in the category of good but not great

Ingram
Holiday
Middleton
Murray
George
Gilgeous-Alexander
Ball
Fox
Sabonis
Haliburton
Brown
Brunson
Young
Banchero
Wagner
Beal
Green
Thompson
Bridges
Edwards
Towns
Mitchell
Mosley
Irving
Harden
Lillard
Bane
Jackson

Plus many more.

Ingram for a potential top 30 player is worth it. Ingram and Zion are not a top 5 Western Conference team.

Scoot can be the team leader that Ingram is not.

Ja Morant isn’t as special as the rest of that lot. SGA Sabonis and Fox are above him. And there’s a few more too.

We shouldn’t trade Zion unless it’s a godfather offer for him.

And it shouldn’t be

What does that even mean? He’s going to get Zion into shape?

Ingram and Zion are certainly a top 5 WC team. Hell they are likely top 3.

Also Ingram is clearly a top 30 player RIGHT NOW

So, 4 years and as many games missed as played and you are ready to crown him? I don't think it works that way.

Kinda like Ingram with every team he’s been on. But I know some of you get a hard on for winning 2 games against the suns

Yao Ming was special too….but he was often hurt, and he played in 200% more games than Zion at this point.

Give it up man.

I agree with part of the premise, but these two bookend statements had me scratching my head.

Zion is a guy that is physically dominant and has an advantage against every player in the league. Even Giannis, the other biggest freak, has a weight/strength disadvantage.

That’s the thing with Zion, his weight/athleticism combo is unmatched in the entire league and it’s not that close. The closest was probably prime Lebron and he’s now way to close to 40.

Unfortunately he hasn’t been able to, or willing to harness it consistently, but that’s the prize. Literally no other player in the league has his combo, and he’s 22.

His ceiling is unmatched, although there are legitimate questions now as to if he has the willingness to reach that potential. Nonetheless, the Pels would be idiots to sell low on that ceiling.

Ingram simply doesn’t have Zion’s physical gifts, but he’s a top 30 or so player at 25, and is a known entity. Those guys don’t grow on trees either.

Making big moves now for unknowns is a terrible idea…go fix Zion, make your pick at 14 (preferably a front court player) and try to win a championship. It’s a simple as that.

This would be a lot easier to do if Griff didn’t waste about 4-5 picks and would’ve traded Zo for something instead of 2nd’s and Temple.

We don’t have the pick ammo to make a move like that without including Trey and Herb (which we shouldn’t do)

So if we want Scoot, it’s either Zion or Ingram going out. There is really no way to have all 3 of them.

I think Scoot is a once every 10 year talent, and would be a better guard prospect than Morant, Cunningham, Edwards, and Young. Maybe Doncic is a better prospect but not by much.

Roll the dice if Scott is great then he and Zion can win alot in New Orleans

Right because if next season doesn’t pan out (decent chance), you’ll be trading BI anyways. You’re more than likely going to get guys lesser than him or picks that will more than likely not be #2. I’ll take my chance with scoot.

playmaking, speed, athleticism, pick and roll offense, energy on both sides of the floor, high character. I think his defense will be good enough because he plays with effort and I’m a believer in his shot.
